Because there are too many people involved in the football match, once the epidemic prevention and control is not done well, it will easily lead to the spread of the epidemic again.

Finally, under the premise of great achievements in domestic epidemic prevention and control, in order to complete all the competitions this year, China Football Association, after consulting many epidemic prevention experts including Professor Zhang Wenhong and taking various measures to meet the requirements of the State Administration of Epidemic Prevention, finally decided to change the first stage competition of the Super League to the group competition system.

Of course, there are still some differences between the Super League competition system and the general competition system this season:

(1) At present, only the first-stage competition rules have been formulated, and only the competition system has been adopted in the first stage. The schedules of other international competitions such as the Top 40 national teams and the AFC Champions League will be considered as a whole in subsequent competitions to determine the rules and time of the second-stage competition.

(2) Although the first stage competition adopted the group competition system, and because the epidemic was concentrated in Dalian and Suzhou, there was no home for each team. However, due to the double round robin system, the rules of home and away games are still retained in concept, which means that each team will play a "home and away" double round robin game in the group.
