Wuwei Vocational College is a public ordinary institution of higher learning approved by the Gansu provincial government and put on record by the Ministry of Education, which is developed on the basis of the original Wuwei Education College and implements full-time higher vocational education. It is merged with TV University Wuwei Branch, Wuwei Normal University, Wuwei Finance and Trade School and Wuwei Tourism Vocational Secondary School. It has five departments of economic management, computer, foreign languages, art and engineering technology, and two departments of basic subjects and adult education, and implements vocational education, adult education, secondary school education, undergraduate, junior college, secondary school and short-term training.

The college covers an area of more than 3 mu and has 2 experimental training rooms and 8 training bases.
