Nanchong Cultural Tourism Vocational College is a full-time public university organized by Nanchong Municipal People's Government, approved by Sichuan Provincial People's Government and filed by the Ministry of Education. It is a college founded by Sichuan Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism and Nanchong Municipal People's Government. It is the first vocational college named after "cultural tourism" in China, and has successively won the honorary titles of "safe campus" advanced unit in Sichuan universities and demonstration school of national unity and progress.

The College is located in Langzhong, Nanchong, a national civilized city, a national health city, a national historical and cultural city, one of the four ancient cities in China, a national 5A-level tourist attraction and the first batch of Tianfu tourist counties. It is surrounded by water on three sides and mountains on all sides. During the Three Kingdoms period, Zhang Fei was here for seven years, and served as the capital of Sichuan for 20 years in the late Ming and early Qing Dynasties. It is the birthplace of Spring Festival culture, the world-famous hometown of imperial examination champions, known as "Yuen Long Wonderland", and has become a world tourist attraction attracting tourists from home and abroad.

The college covers an area of nearly 1,000 mu, with a total construction area of 330,000 square meters and a total investment of 2.56 billion yuan. The campus is built by mountains and rivers, and seven functional areas, such as teaching area, training area, sports area and riverside leisure area, are scientific, elegant and unique. It is a rich, intelligent and open leisure library. The college has 130 domestic first-class experimental training rooms, including 3D simulated tour guide, ERP sand table, GIS remote sensing and graphic digital modeling, as well as a heated swimming pool, indoor gymnasium and two international standard track and field.
