Where is Qinghai Oilfield?

Qinghai Oilfield is located in the northwest margin of Qaidam Basin, surrounded by Kunlun Mountain, Qilian Mountain and Altun Mountain. The area is 250,000 square kilometers, and the sedimentary area is 6.5438+0.2 million square kilometers.

Petroleum exploration in Qinghai began at 1954. After more than 40 years of work, 140 surface structures have been discovered and 23 oil and gas fields have been proved. In 2003, it produced 2.2 million tons of crude oil and 65.438 billion cubic meters of natural gas. Qinghai Oilfield is the fourth largest atmospheric region in China after Sichuan, Changqing and Xinjiang.

Construction background

Since the first oil exploration team of New China advanced into the Qaidam Basin more than 60 years ago, today, the vast Gobi is full of derricks and roaring machines, and Qinghai oil people have never stopped exploring the Qaidam Basin.

Several generations of Qinghai oil men have built several major oil and gas fields such as Gasi, Yingdong, Sebei and Dongping on the Gobi Desert, with an annual output of 2.3 million tons of crude oil and 6.4 billion cubic meters of natural gas, making it an important oil and gas production base in northwest China.

The exploration of Qinghai Oilfield began at 1954, and it is one of the pioneers in the development of new China petroleum industry. The main exploration and development field is in the Qaidam basin, which is called the "cornucopia". The average altitude of the oilfield operation area is 3000 meters, and the oxygen content in the air is 70% of that in the mainland. The climate is dry, the wind and sand are raging, and it is cold and lack of oxygen. It is an oilfield with the most difficult natural conditions and working environment in China.
