Some farmers have a large family and are afraid that their rations will be cut off after the farmland is retired, so they are unwilling to return the farmland. According to different situations, different types of mass meetings were held, and people visited the homes at night to do ideological work on the kang. Cultivated land is managed by each household. Farmers have long-established practices for raising livestock, free-range grazing, and burning paper for sacrifices. Third, farmers have received benefits and are grateful to the party and the government. At the beginning of the period, everyone was mobilized to return farmland to forests. Farmers were mentally anxious, fearing that the harvest rations would not be enough to eat after returning farmland. However, after returning farmland, they had enough rations and received subsidies. Many families pay for their children to go to school, pay their monthly transportation and food expenses, and pay them into their bank cards on time. Indeed, they provide subsidies for returning farmland to forest, which solves practical problems for the masses, like providing help in times of need.
