Doctor's Vernacular Thrombosis: What is Thrombosis? Can thrombus be ruled out automatically? How to prevent thrombosis?

Thrombosis is everywhere!

What is a thrombus?

Our whole body is covered with blood clots, and blood vessels constantly transport blood and oxygen to all parts of the body. Only when blood vessels are unobstructed can normal blood flow be guaranteed.

General rules do not hurt, but pain will not work. This is the best description of blood vessels. Once a blood clot appears in a blood vessel, it will block the blood vessel, causing tissue necrosis in this part and even death!

Our blood vessels include venous blood vessels, arterial blood vessels and capillaries.

1, blood stasis: pregnancy, obesity, trauma, surgery, congestive heart failure, staying in bed for too long.

2, hypercoagulable state: malignant tumor, myeloproliferative disease.

3, others: oral contraceptives, hemolytic crisis.

1, vascular wall abnormalities: atherosclerosis, hyperlipidemia, diabetes.

2, increased blood viscosity: polycythemia vera, plasma cell disease, burns.

3. Abnormal platelet function: primary thrombocytosis.

1, embolism: more common in arterial thrombosis.

2. Increased coagulation activity: bacterial endotoxin, viral hemolysis, necrotic tissue, tumor cells, thrombotic thrombocytopenic purpura, serum sickness and disseminated intravascular coagulation.

First of all, the human body has a blood coagulation system, such as where it is cut. Normal people will immediately start the blood coagulation mechanism, form a blood clot, and coagulate to stop bleeding.

This is a normal protective mechanism, but if this happens in blood vessels, it is not necessarily a good thing. For example, before the occurrence of acute myocardial infarction, the plaque on the inner wall of blood vessels suddenly ruptures, the coagulation mechanism starts, and thrombosis is formed immediately. This is a blood clot. If the thrombus continues to expand and the blood vessels are blocked, acute myocardial infarction will occur, causing myocardial necrosis and life-threatening!

Coagulation should be a good thing, form protection, and make the damaged part repair faster and better. After the repair is completed, the thrombus is useless. The body has designed a fibrinolytic system to dissolve unwanted blood clots. It is called fibrinolytic system because the main components of thrombus are fibrin and fibrinogen, and fibrinolytic system is called fibrinolytic system.

We can indeed encounter large thrombus autolysis in clinic, such as sudden acute myocardial infarction, and the blood vessels are found to be unblocked in later angiography.

However, the probability of autolysis of this thrombus is very small, and it is impossible to automatically rule out almost all life-threatening acute critical thrombus such as acute myocardial infarction, acute cerebral infarction and acute pulmonary embolism.

Only through timely and regular rescue can we reduce the danger and save more lives.

It is difficult for us to completely answer every thrombotic disease. Dr. Cardiovascular King is looking for several common thrombi that everyone cares about.

The most common causes of arterial thrombosis are atherosclerosis, atherosclerosis aggravation, plaque formation, and plaque rupture will form thrombosis.

To prevent atherosclerosis, we need to quit smoking and limit alcohol, eat a low-salt low-fat low-sugar diet, eat more vegetables, fruits and whole grains, exercise, lose weight scientifically, live a regular life, be happy, find three highs early, treat three highs early, and stay away from arterial thrombosis!

The treatment of acute myocardial infarction and acute cerebral infarction is drug thrombolysis or stent surgery.

The most common cause of venous thrombosis is either slow blood flow or problems with its own coagulation mechanism. The biggest risk is pulmonary embolism, a disease with the same name as myocardial infarction. For those who stay in bed for a long time, pay attention to turning over and patting their backs. For those who are sick, they should receive regular treatment, and for those at high risk, they should receive anticoagulant treatment when necessary. Insisting on activities is also a sharp weapon to prevent venous thrombosis!

Acute pulmonary embolism needs anticoagulant or thrombolytic therapy.

When atrial fibrillation occurs in the heart, blood clots may appear in the heart. Once thrombosis occurs, the risk of cerebral infarction will greatly increase, so an important treatment principle of atrial fibrillation is anticoagulation to prevent thrombosis!

The first principle of atrial fibrillation treatment is to maintain sinus rhythm as much as possible, or to cure atrial fibrillation radically, or to block the left atrial appendage to prevent thrombus from falling off, or to have long-term anticoagulation treatment!

Although our body has the function of thrombus autolysis, this kind of thrombus autolysis can not solve the thrombotic disease for the large thrombus of large blood vessels.
