Where is the Rongguang Temple, the former site of the Red Army Tongtieling Combat Headquarters?

The Rongguang Temple, the former site of the Red Army Tongtieling Combat Command, is located on the hillside of Dapaigang Mountain on the east side of Hou Village, Bailian Town, Jiangle County.

In March 1934, the 19th Division of the 7th Red Army once again stationed in Houcun, and built trenches and other fortifications in important places such as Tongtieling, waiting for opportunities to block the enemy troops who were naturalized for reinforcements. The division headquarters was located at Rongguang Gongci, where regiment commander Xun Huaizhou and political commissar Le Shaohua directed the battle at Tongtieling. On March 22, the 7th Red Army Corps ambushed the 10th Division of the Kuomintang Army Li Mo'an on its way to naturalization in Tongtieling. The villagers actively joined the front team to help the Red Army transport artillery shells, rescue the wounded, and provide supplies. During the battle, the enemy sent three bombers to bomb our positions indiscriminately, and the enemies on the ground took advantage of the situation and set fire to the mountains. Due to the uncontrollable fire, the enemy was in a dilemma. Our army took advantage of the victory and pursued it, annihilating more than 400 enemy soldiers, killing 1 enemy regiment commander and 3 battalion commanders, capturing hundreds of enemy people, and surrendering more than 1,000 weapons. On the 26th, the enemy's 10th Division left Mingxi and entered our ambush circle. It was severely beaten by our troops and wiped out more than a hundred enemy people, including 2 officers. They also seized 3 aircraft, more than 50 aircraft, and several loads of other military supplies. This battle severely dealt a blow to the enemy's arrogance, destroyed the Kuomintang's plan to implement the Eastern Front, and played a great role in defending the Central Soviet Area. Issue 172 of "Red China" reported on this battle. The 7th Red Army Corps was also commended by the Central Revolutionary Military Commission, and Xun Huaizhou and Le Shaohua were awarded second-class medals.

The Rongguang Temple, the former site of the Red Army Tongtieling Combat Command, was built in the Qing Dynasty. It faces the southeast and northwest, covers an area of ??about 483.3 square meters, and consists of a square, a foyer, a main hall and an east wing. Its wind and fire walls and brick carvings are exquisitely crafted. The Red Army slogans written by the Red Army in white ash on the outer wall of the old site are still clearly visible today. In 2010, the Le County People's Government allocated special funds for repairs.
