Which city does Zaozhuang in Shandong belong to?

Zaozhuang, Shandong does not belong to any city. Zaozhuang is a municipality directly under the Central Government of Shandong Province, China.

Zaozhuang, located at the junction of Jiangsu and Shandong provinces, is the south gate of Shandong. The world-famous Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal passes through the territory, adding a bit of beauty to the beautiful Zaozhuang. Zaozhuang is a beautiful city, which has both the gentleness of Jiangnan water town and the roughness of Shandong hills. It is located in the north-south transition zone in the east of China, and it is an important joint between the east coast of the Eurasian Continental Bridge and the inland areas in the west.

The origin of place names

Zaozhuang, a city resident, formed a village in the Tang and Song Dynasties, and was named Zaozhuang because of its numerous jujube trees.

In the early Ming Dynasty, the imperial court allowed private mining. In the Songlu area (now the central area of Zaozhuang), "villagers cut mountains to take stones for grinding and milling, and dug wells to get coal for paying wages". With the exploitation of coal, immigrants gradually moved to live around "Yao Bei Kiln". In various settlements, people either use surnames or names such as village records.

The more famous villages are: Jinzhuang, Sanhezhuang, Zaozhuang (named after a jujube forest at the head of the village) and so on. In the thirty-fourth year of Guangxu reign (1908), the company was invited to establish "Shandong Yixian Zhongxing Coal Mine Co., Ltd.", referred to as "Zhongxing Company". In the first year of the Republic of China (19 12), ZTE's articles of association were formally implemented, which stated: "The company's total mine is located in the north of Zaozhuang, Yicheng County". At this point, Zaozhuang place names began to become famous in the society.
