Serbia's latest slogan
At the same time, the fans sang "Give peace a chance" and satirized the so-called "anti-war" slogan in the West. In sharp contrast, the mainstream western media collectively lost their voices.
18 Beijing time this morning, in the second round of the top 16 Europa League, Red Star Belgrade of Serbia played against Glasgow Rangers of Scotland at home.
Although the Red Star team won by 2:/kloc-0:, it still lost by 0:3 in the first round, so it's a pity to be out.
It is worth noting that in the world-famous "devil's home" Ma Diqi Stadium, Serbian fans hit back at the western double standards in a special way.
In the video circulated on foreign social media, almost all the fans in the stands joined in and raised six banners.
In the first five banners, they listed the countries that the United States and NATO directly or indirectly participated in the invasion by year:
North Korea/KOOC-0/950, Guatemala/KOOC-0/954, Indonesia/KOOC-0/958, Cuba/KOOC-0/96/KOOC-0/,Vietnam/KOOC-0/96/KOOC-0/,Congo/KOOC-0. Greece 1967, Argentina 1976, Nicaragua 198 1 year, Grenada 1984, Philippines 1989, Panama 1989, etc. Sudan/KOOC-0/998, Yugoslavia/KOOC-0/999, Afghanistan 200/KOOC-0/,Yemen 2002, Somalia 2006, Libya 20/KOOC-0/,Syria 20/KOOC-0/.
On the sixth banner, they wrote: "What we want to say is, give peace a chance!" "
Perhaps it is worried that the western countries are "invisible", and tens of thousands of fans also turn on the lights of their mobile phones to illuminate the stadium.
After the banner was displayed, all the fans sang "Give peace a chance". This anti-war song was written and sung by the famous British rock singer John Lennon.
Some foreign media people said on social media, "Tonight, tens of thousands of fans of Belgrade Red Star, Serbia's most popular football team, held slogans from more than 20 countries and made a sharp response to the so-called anti-war West."
In sharp contrast to the "high-profile" of Serbian fans, the collective silence of the mainstream western media on the banner incident has left no enthusiasm for "anti-war".
Searching on Google with English terms such as "Serbian fans", "Belgrade Red Star fans" and "Europa League", there are only a handful of relevant news, and the mainstream media are even more neglected, and some are just simple battle reports.
In fact, this is not the first time Serbian fans have expressed their views on the Russian-Ukrainian conflict on the court.
On March 10, Red Star team beat New Pazar 5-0, and fans sang Katyusha to express their support for Russia. They also set off smoke in the color of the Russian flag and shouted "Russia and Serbia will always be brothers".
On February 25th, Serbian President Vucic publicly stated that they opposed the western countries' "sanctions" against Russia, but supported Ukrainian territorial integrity.
"As a country that has experienced Western sanctions, Serbia believes that imposing sanctions on any country or its representatives and commercial entities is not in line with China's important political and economic interests."
In addition, in his recent election campaign, he repeatedly stressed that "Serbia will not join NATO, nor will it forget 1999 NATO's aggression in bombing Yugoslavia".
