The best viewing period of rhododendron in Jinggangshan

The azalea period in Jinggangshan is from mid-April to mid-June, and the flowering period lasts for a long time. When azaleas are in full bloom, clusters of red, pink or white flowers in the green hills sway with the wind, green is about to drip, red is about to burn, white is like jade, and powder is like a sunset. In particular, Jinggang-Bijiashan Scenic Area, the pearl of Shili Du Fu Corridor, is unique.

Rhododendron is the city flower of Jinggangshan City. At present, there are 32 species of rhododendron in Jinggangshan, including white rhododendron from Jiangxi, red rhododendron, pink rhododendron from Cornea and Jinyun, pink to white rhododendron from Hericium erinaceus, red and purple Mao Dujuan and fragrant rhododendron from Jinggangshan, many of which are endemic to Jinggangshan.

Affected by the epidemic, Jinggangshan will hold the 11th Jinggangshan Rhododendron Festival in 2020 online on April 25th. With the theme of "azaleas blooming and swimming in Jinggangshan", it is sponsored by Jinggangshan Administration Bureau and Jinggangshan Municipal People's Government, and undertaken by Jinggangshan Tourism Development Corporation.
