How to understand magic realism

Magic realism literature is a popular literary genre in Latin America around the 1950s. It is not the product of literary groups, but a homogenization tendency in literary creation, which mainly occurs in the field of novels and is popular in Latin America.

The writers of this school insist on putting reality in an illusory environment and atmosphere, giving it an objective and detailed description, so that reality is clothed with a bizarre magic coat. They not only adhere to the principle of reflecting social real life in their works, but also use European and American modernist methods in their creative methods, inserting many magical and grotesque illusions, so that the whole picture presents a style that seems unreal, unreal, unreal and indistinguishable from reality. This creative method of combining reality and fantasy is called "magic realism" by Latin American critics.
