In response to the call, this morning, teachers, students and parents of our Happy Spring Bamboo Squadron organized an activity to pick up garbage in Hongshi Park and the square.

Red Rock Park is lined with green trees and birds are chirping, but in this picturesque environment, there is still something disappointing. We saw many things on the ground. Plastic bags, mineral water bottles, paper towels and other household waste. Students hold garbage bags, wear gloves or hold long tweezers, pick up the garbage on the ground and put it in the garbage bags. At this time, when I met a child who was throwing garbage everywhere, the classmates immediately told him to care for the environment and not to litter anywhere. The sun was scorching hot in the square, but the students were not afraid of dirt or heat, and carefully picked up all kinds of garbage (waste paper, old plastic bags, mineral water bottles, leaves, watermelon rinds, etc.). After more than an hour of our hard work, the park and square were completely renewed, providing a beautiful environment for tourists. The students were all sweating profusely, but no student complained.

The students experienced first-hand what it feels like to be environmental defenders. Many of them felt ashamed of their previous behavior of littering. The children said: From now on, they will never litter again, and they will do so in the same way. Take practical actions to influence and persuade people around you not to litter, work together to protect the social environment, and create our civilized city! Through this activity, students' awareness of environmental protection and their sense of social responsibility in conveying civilization have been further enhanced. Although this event is short-lived, we believe that if everyone can establish a sense of responsibility for environmental protection like us, it starts with me and starts from small things. Our home will definitely become better and better.

Every time we throw away the garbage casually, but when we pick up the garbage, we have a different feeling. Through personal experience of picking up garbage with my children, I have a lot of feelings. What we need to do in the future: 1. Everyone must establish the habit of not littering. Although each of us knows that we must pay attention to hygiene and not litter, and we have taught our children not to litter since childhood, but in this beautiful and flowery city, we often see many uncivilized behaviors among people. In the park, people throw their finished fruit peels and melon seed shells everywhere, and on the road, you can see people spitting gum everywhere. This shows that the habit of paying attention to hygiene and not littering has not been fully developed. 2. Cleaning workers should be respected by the whole society. Cleaning workers are the hardest. Beautiful and clean cities are the result of the hard work and sweat of cleaning workers. The living environment of children in modern cities is too superior, and parents give meticulous care and concern to their children.
