(nine) to study and analyze the situation of letters and visits, carry out investigation and study, and put forward suggestions on strengthening and improving public security work and the construction of public security team in a timely manner. Fifteenth departments of public security organs, police in accordance with the division of business, have the responsibility to undertake petitions within the scope of their functions and powers. The petitions transferred by the petition office shall be handled seriously and promptly, and the results shall be replied in writing to the petition office within the prescribed time limit.
