Origin of the name of the ancient town: formerly known as Luo Sheng, which means Tea Pass on the ancient Tang-Fan Road and the seat of Tea and Horse Department. In the late Ming and early Qing dynasties, it was renamed Wujiakou with five surnames in the town. Later, the government divided it into: Shangli; This name has been used to this day.

Along the street, I came to the Han family compound. Han Jia is an ancient town with five surnames, and its quadrangles have the following characteristics: the layout of quadrangles; The house was built in the fourth year of Qing Daoguang (AD1824); Tongdou wood structure, blue tile roof; Wooden doors, windows, eaves, beds, tables, stools, etc. They are all decorated with milk sculptures, which are diverse and lifelike, and can be called masterpieces of the Qing Dynasty. The ground in the courtyard is paved with stone slabs, and all the courtyards are connected by deep alleys. The walls of the courtyard are made of blue bricks. Walking in and visiting is like walking into a maze and taking a detour.

According to local villagers, there is also a golden nanmu museum near the Hanjia Courtyard, which is worth visiting! I was very surprised after listening to it. Is there a museum in such a remote ancient town? So with curiosity, I went to find out. Sure enough, not far away, there is a museum showing Jin Sinan; The location of the museum is not conspicuous. Walking into the museum, there are many wood carvings on display; Its shapes are varied; Vivid and dazzling. Phoebe bournei is a precious and rare tree species. Close to the smell, there is a faint aroma; It is said that it can prevent insects, termites and other functions.

Along the Maoxi River, you come to Erxian Bridge across the Maoxi River. Erxian Bridge is a single-hole stone arch bridge with a height of 12m, a width of 5m and a span of 19m. Built in the 41st year of Qingganlong (1776); The guardrails on both sides, after years of baptism, have completely disappeared. The moss and weeds on the bridge show its ancient and long history. Standing on the bridge, the vision is broadened: ancient towns, bamboo slips boating on the river, towering ancient trees on both sides; The sound of running water; The ancient stone bridge and Pingba pastoral in the distance are just like the beauty of Jiangnan water town and the feeling of Xanadu. There is a folklore about the origin of the name of Erxian Bridge! According to legend, the local people have a custom:' After the bridge is completed; Invite a respected celebrity to board the bridge, which means stability and peace; After stepping on the bridge, name the bridge. Just like people are discussing who to choose; Suddenly two beggars jumped out of the crowd and said nothing; Jump into the river and immediately expose two stone bags in the water; Everyone realized that this was the second fairy; So it was named: Erxian Bridge. Near Erxian Bridge, there is also a Liu Xian Gallery, which leads to the ancient town halfway up the mountain. The corridor was randomly built step by step. In front of it, there is a stream passing by; On the stream, there is a small stone arch bridge across the stream; Let people through. There are several old people sitting in armchairs in the corridor, resting, chatting and playing chess; It is so quiet and peaceful here.

At the bridge head of the ancient town, there is a Wenfeng Tower, also called Font Tower. Built in Tongzhi, Qing Dynasty for 5 years, it is about 8.5 meters high, with five floors, hexagon, red sandstone masonry, hollow structure, baoding brake tip, and the base is engraved with inscriptions and slogans of the Red Army. This tower is a special facility for local people to store and burn paper.

Wandering around, I feel a little hungry. In a restaurant called "Master Guo's Hot and Sour Noodles", I ate a bowl of local famous noodles. The owner of the noodle restaurant said:' There is a White Horse Spring scenic spot in the dense valley about 4.8 kilometers away from the ancient town; Very famous Cctv has visited here. Walk along Shang Ya Road for about 1 hour. I came to White Horse Spring, which is located in the valley of Stone Shrimp Forest in Shangli Township, Ya 'an City. There is a myth about the history and origin of White Horse Spring! According to the inscription, the spring pool was built in the first year of Zhenguan in Tang Dynasty. In the Song and Yuan Dynasties, Ding Xuan (A.D. 1 168) sealed the spring pool as Yuan Ze. It is one of the top ten constant temperature gorge springs in China. According to legend, the Tang Priest and his party went to the Western Heaven to learn Buddhist scriptures and passed by here. Tang priest went to the temple to worship, and his mouth was thirsty when he waited outside the temple. Drink when you see a pool of spring water. At this time, the water god saw that it was a dragon horse, so he went to worship at the high tide. Later, when the spring tide surged, you could hear the sound of horseshoes, which seemed magical; This temple hosts a monk and regards this spring as a sacred spring; And changed the name of "Yuan Ze" to: White Horse Spring. Hence the name. '
