(7) When applying for an ordinary passport, an active serviceman shall, in addition to the application materials mentioned in Items (1) and (2), submit his/her identity certificate (such as ID card and military officer's card) and its photocopy, as well as the opinions issued by the competent department of the military system with the power of examination and approval.

(8) In addition to the application materials in Items (1), (2), (3) and (4), the original and photocopy of the ordinary passport shall be submitted at the time of renewal. If China citizens who have settled abroad apply for the renewal of ordinary passports in a short period of time, they must also submit a valid overseas settlement certificate and a temporary residence permit issued by the public security organ in their temporary residence.

(9) To reissue an ordinary passport, in addition to the application materials in Items (1), (2), (3) and (4), an explanation of the damage, loss or theft of the original ordinary passport shall also be submitted; If you apply for a replacement due to damage to your ordinary passport, you must also submit the damaged ordinary passport. If China citizens who have settled abroad apply for a replacement ordinary passport for a short period of time, they must also submit a valid certificate of settlement abroad and a temporary residence permit issued by the public security organ of their temporary residence.
