Anhui University of Finance and Economics is a multi-disciplinary financial and economics university focusing on economics, management, and law. The school was founded in Hefei City, Anhui Province in May 1959, and was named Anhui Finance and Trade College. In February 2000, the State Council decided that Anhui University of Finance and Trade would be jointly managed by the central and local governments, with the Anhui Provincial Government as the main management. In May 2004, with the approval of the Ministry of Education, the school was renamed Anhui University of Finance and Economics.
