Introduction to Dongbai Lake

"Chengshan Yanlou" is the third main landscape of Dongbai Lake. Chengshan, also known as Leiguping, has the ruins of Wangyan Tower, which was built by Huang Zhen of the Song Dynasty. According to historical records, Huang Zhen was wealthy and philanthropic. In order to understand the lives of the villagers, he built a high-rise building. Baihu Lake is named after it is located at the foot of Dongbai Mountain, also known as Chencai Reservoir. It is located in the southeast of Zhuji City, on the Chencai River upstream of the Kaihua River, a tributary of the Puyang River, with Shanglin Creek and Hetu Creek upstream. Five tributaries, including Xitang Creek, Liuzi Creek and Diankou Creek, merge into the reservoir.

Dongbai Lake was built in 1977 and completed in 1985. It has a controlled watershed area of ??187 square kilometers, a reservoir area of ??4 square kilometers, a total storage capacity of 116.4 million cubic meters, and normal precipitation of 61.9 million cubic meters during the plum and flood season. Dongbai Lake was originally a large reservoir for flood control, combined with irrigation, power generation and other comprehensive utilization reservoirs. Since February 2006, it has been used as a drinking water source to officially supply water to more than 400,000 citizens in the urban area and downstream, becoming a large-scale reservoir integrating water supply and flood control.

The lake area has a beautiful environment, surrounded by dense forests, shrouded in smoke, green peaks, verdant trees, almost original vegetation, and excellent ecological conditions. The lakes, harbors and branches are deep and winding, peninsulas are dotted, and most of them are surrounded by water on three sides. They are all in good shape.
