In response to market demand, various sorting equipment has been produced and put into use one after another, among which e-commerce logistics is in the forefront and automation equipment has been widely popularized. However, manual sorting still plays an important role in the sorting of large, overweight and irregular parcels, especially in the LTL logistics industry.

Second, semi-automatic mechanical sorting equipment

In this way, machinery (such as conveyor) is the main conveying tool, and operators are equipped at each sorting position for sorting. This sorting method does not need too much investment, and can also reduce labor intensity and improve sorting efficiency to a certain extent. It is suitable for logistics distribution stations with small order fluctuation, stable order volume and similar workload in each sorting area.

However, this sorting method only partially improves the efficiency of a job, and its flexibility is relatively low. It is necessary to optimize the overall separation efficiency on the premise of meeting the design conditions. If the sorting volume increases sharply and exceeds the load of the sorting line, it is necessary to deploy personnel to assist in sorting.

Thirdly, automatic and intelligent sorting equipment.

In this way, the goods enter the sorting equipment until the designated position, and all operations are automatically completed according to the instructions. Therefore, the sorting equipment of this sorting method has strong processing capacity, and the goods sorted out are wide in category and large in quantity, which is the preferred sorting method of logistics sorting center at present.
