1. Garbage classification

(1) Kitchen waste: refers to farmers’ markets, agricultural product wholesale markets and residents’ daily lives. Food residues such as waste vegetables and fruits, carrion, broken meat and bones, egg shells, livestock and poultry offal, and aquatic product waste are generated.

(2) Recyclables: refers to unpolluted wastes produced in daily life that are suitable for recycling and can be recycled, including waste paper, waste plastics, waste glass, waste metal, and waste packaging. , waste textiles, waste electrical and electronic products, etc.

(3) Hazardous waste: refers to domestic waste that causes direct or potential harm to human health or the natural environment, including waste batteries (nickel-cadmium batteries, mercury oxide batteries, lead-acid batteries, etc.), waste fluorescent lamps (daily lamps, energy-saving lamps, etc.), waste thermometers, waste sphygmomanometers, waste products and their packaging, waste paints, solvents and their packaging, waste pesticides, disinfectants and their packaging, waste mineral oil and their packaging Packaging materials, waste film and waste photo paper, etc.

(4) Other garbage: refers to domestic garbage other than kitchen waste, recyclables, and hazardous waste, including shredded paper, contaminated waste paper, discarded plastic bags, cigarette butts, dust, etc.

2. Garbage Disposal

All units and individuals in Ningbo City should classify and place domestic garbage at designated points in accordance with the following regulations, and shall not discard it at will:

(1) Kitchen The remaining garbage is first filtered to remove moisture, and then placed in the food waste collection container;

(2) Recyclables can be placed in the recyclables collection container or recycling facility, or they can be handed over to renewable resource recycling operators ;

(3) Hazardous waste should be placed in hazardous waste collection containers or handed over to specialized recycling operators;

(4) Other waste should be placed in other garbage collection containers.

Oversized garbage, decoration garbage, and greening garbage that cannot be placed in the collection container should be collected by a collection unit; if they cannot be processed immediately, they should be placed in a temporary storage place (point) or garbage room and processed as soon as possible. . Decoration waste should be bagged or bundled before being put away.
