Type of spray tower

From the appearance, spray tower can be divided into vertical tower and horizontal tower. For example, for indoor installation, because the height of the house is not enough, only horizontal towers can be designed and used, and vertical towers can be designed and used if the outdoor space does not want to occupy too much area.

Technically speaking, the function of spray tower can treat acid mist exhaust gas, alkali mist exhaust gas, ammonia mist exhaust gas, malodorous gas and some organic exhaust gas.

From the material point of view, spray tower can be divided into PP plastic material, FRP glass fiber reinforced plastic material and SS304 stainless steel material. Of course, in terms of cost and durability, PP and polypropylene materials are currently used more.

Brief introduction of spray tower principle

Exhaust gas is introduced into the spray tower by installing an anti-corrosion fan at the back end and a suction hood and pipeline at the front end. The waste gas passes through the packing layer of the spray tower, reacts with the chemicals sprayed circularly, and absorbs and neutralizes the gas. The purified clean gas passes through the demisting layer at the top of the spray tower to remove water mist, and then is discharged into the atmosphere by the anti-corrosion fan. The spray tower has an integrated water tank and a vertical circulating pump. After the water pump is turned on, the liquid in the water tank is evenly sprayed on the packing layer of the spray tower.

External structure of spray tower

The structure of conventional spray tower is summarized as: tower body, demisting layer, spray layer, packing layer, window and water tank.

Demisting layer: generally separated by grid plate, with filler on it. The height of the packing layer can reach 500 mm. In order to improve the demisting efficiency, the spray tower produced by our company can be equipped with a plate demister.

Spray layer: the spray layer consists of spray pipes and nozzles. According to the diameter of spray tower, the density of spray pipe and nozzle is different. Adopt efficient nozzle, spray evenly, with large flow rate, which is not easy to block.

Packing layer: the packing layer is placed on the demisting layer and the spraying layer. The main fillers are polyhedral hollow spheres and Raschig rings. The packing layer in the spray tower is used as the mass transfer equipment of the gas-liquid two-phase contact assembly. A packing support plate is installed at the bottom of the packed tower, and the packing is randomly placed on the support plate. The packing press plate is installed above the packing to prevent it from being blown by the updraft. The spray liquid of the spray tower is sprayed onto the packing from the top of the tower through the liquid distributor, and flows downwards along the surface of the packing.

Window: Also known as inspection port, the main function of the window is to observe the operation of the spray tower, replace the packing and repair the nozzle.
