Banner usage of Cisco routing

In global configuration mode, configure the message of the day (motd) banner. Use the delimiter "#" at the beginning and end of the message. Delimiters can be used to configure multi-line slogans, as shown below.

R 1 (configuration) #banner motd #

Enter a text message. It ends with the character "#".

Good safety planning should include the proper configuration of slogans. At the very least, the slogan should warn against unauthorized access. Remember not to configure slogans such as Welcome to Unauthorized Users.
