Climb the mountain and enjoy the beautiful scenery! Before you go into the mountains, don't forget these eight things to protect your safety.
Huang (a mountaineering writer) visited the Xiaodingding ancient road in front of the ancient road. The most interesting place was the surprise of finding relics and sites from the weeds in the unknown virgin forest. But remember not to ignore the power of nature. The unknown world also has unknown risks. Please be careful before you go to the mountains. Please pay special attention to the following items: ● Have basic mountaineering knowledge: In the process of finding ancient roads, you must have basic mountaineering knowledge and experience. If you have no experience, it is recommended to follow the experienced predecessors and not go on the road alone. ● Bring basic mountaineering equipment: Even for a day trip, besides basic diet, drinking water and warm clothes, you must prepare rain gear and headlights. These two equipments are often overlooked by novices, but they are the most important equipment to help you get out of trouble and save your life in the mountains. ● Cultivate the habit of daily exercise: Cultivating the habit of regular exercise on weekdays can not only cultivate the physical strength and endurance of hiking on ancient roads, but also be the best medicine to avoid sports injuries. ● Make a careful pre-trip plan: Although this book is accompanied by a simple road map, travel time, etc. And the route is roughly graded (one star indicates that it is suitable for public visits, and the more asterisks indicate that it is more difficult). Due to the space and writing time, it is impossible to describe the latest road conditions and details in detail. If you want to visit the route in the book, please be sure to check the latest road information again before you leave, bring a more detailed and complete map, and be prepared for the pre-departure plan. ● Don't go into the mountains in extreme weather: In case of abnormal weather such as rainstorm and typhoon, please avoid going into the mountains, because the probability of landslides and mudslides is the highest at this time. Ancient road routes often need to cross streams, which are prone to flash floods and other crises, so we must not be careless. ● Pay attention to the team: whether you invite friends to go with you or follow the mountaineering team, please follow the team activities and avoid leaving the team alone; If you feel unwell, you should inform the team leader in time. No matter what happens, you should keep the whole team together, don't be alone and don't run away. ● Determine the direction before going forward: when exploring the ancient road, you should carry a compass, a map and a GPS positioning device. When you meet a fork in the road or reach the top of the mountain, be sure to confirm your position with a compass before you go forward to avoid going astray and getting lost. ● Tell your family where you are going: Please tell your family or friends your scheduled route before you leave. In case you are really trapped in the mountains by accident, friends or family members who know your whereabouts can immediately grasp the general itinerary, report the case accordingly and start rescue. Li's road to gold mining in Qing Dynasty: the difficulty of finding the route of the ancient road with rough pits: visiting the Li family in Chaozhou in Qing Dynasty, tracing the legendary road of gold mine source, and visiting the temple in the original mining area along the way. 1892, during the Guangxu period of the Qing dynasty, the Qing dynasty established the Jinsha General Administration in Keelung to manage gold mining. After paying taxes and obtaining permits, people can mine sand gold, which attracted the Chaozhou Li family who once mined gold in San Francisco, USA, to the Keelung River for gold. It is said that the Li family chased the monkey cave to the rough pit stream and found the outcrop of Xiaojingua gold mine. The Li family visited the gold mine, which later became the main road from Houdong area to Jiufen and Jinguashi, and also developed large and small rough pit settlements respectively. Large and small rough pits are the most typical road for gold mining. Both ancient roads trace back along the tributaries of Keelung River. Due to the prosperity of mining industry, the ancient road has also formed large settlements nearby. In order to facilitate local children to go to school, a primary school was also built. Later, due to the decline of gold mining industry, the settlement population moved out and withered, and now it has become a trail for climbers to find seclusion and nostalgia. ● Introduction to the trail was originally a relic of the ancient road explored by climbers. In recent years, the * * * of New Taipei City has been arranged into rough tunnels of all sizes. Take the railway and get off at Houdong Station. First, follow the stone steps of Dakukeng, cross Dakukeng settlement, cross the overpass, climb to the intersection of 102 county road "Shumeiping", then pass through the ruins of Xiaojingua mining area and Qinxian junior high school, and enter Jiufen Mountain City. First, go to Fushan Palace, the 200-year-old temple of Jiufen Temple, then eat a bowl of Q-flavored Jiufen taro balls, and then blow the cool sea breeze, and walk to Songde Park on the edge of the old street to start a trip to the small rough pit ancient road. The path passes through Xiaopokeng Mountain and comes to the ruins of the temple. Next to the altar of the Temple of the Mountain, there is a stone carving 1949, which was gloriously erected by employees of Gold Company (the contractor who rented Xiaopokeng mining area after recovery). On the upper right of the temple, there is another old handwriting that has stood for many years. It may have been first built in Taisho, Japan in 19 18. After the recovery, it has been changed to worship the land god. The most surprising thing is that the light rail in the local mining area replaced the steel bar. Walking down a slippery and steep ancient stone step, the ruins of Houdong National Xiaoxiaoshan Campus are hidden in an abandoned Shicuo settlement. All the way down, after the Monkey Cave Coal Mine Museum, the familiar figure of the railway station appeared again. Traffic Information Depart from Taipei Railway Station, take the Yilan Line train and get off at Houdong Station. You can also transfer from National Highway No.3 to Expressway No.62, get off at Ruifang Interchange, and then transfer from 102 to North Hou Rui Expressway No.37 to Houdong Station. The walking time is about 3-4 hours. In the sixth year of Tongzhi (1867), Liu, the governor of Taiwan Province, led his department from Danshui Hall to Karmalan Hall. Due to the hardships of ancestors' reclamation and the majestic landscape of mountain roads, inscriptions were erected along the way, among which the gold plaque with gold foil was the origin of the ancient road. Also located on the ancient road is the "Forbidden Monument" erected in the first year of Xianfeng in Qing Dynasty (185 1 year). This monument was originally used to warn passers-by against deforestation, which can be said to be the earliest inscription with environmental protection concept in Taiwan Province Province. Because of its historical significance, the ancient Golden Monument Road was built with stone steps many years ago. Mountaineers used this ancient road to climb the base point of Kedalun in Sanming, which is located on the south ridge of the "Monument Prohibited by the Constitution", with an altitude of 525 meters and a third-class triangle point 176. At present, the main stone tablets existing in the Danlan ancient road system are not only the "Golden Monument" in this paragraph and the "Forbidden Monument in the Constitution", but also the "Tiger Monument" and "Xiongzhen Manyan Monument" on the Caoling ancient road. The stone tablet about 200 years ago is still intact, which makes people feel nostalgic when walking. We will have a deeper understanding of the historical records of this ancient Danlan Road. ● The trail introduces the "Right Path of Sandiao Line". In the past, one of the ancient roads from Taipei to Yilan was mainly along the Yilan Line Railway, but in Sandiaoling area, the railway crossed by tunnel, while the ancient road crossed the snow-capped mountains along the ancient road of Jin Beibei. 1867, the ancient road engraved with "Golden Monument" in Xerox was not as popular as the ancient road engraved with "Tiger Monument" in Caoling, but it was also one of the classic hiking routes in the northern suburbs. Get off at the Monkey Cave Station and follow the 100 step road to visit the Monkey Cave Shrine near the station. There is a wooden torii and a stone with stone lamp holders on both sides. Go along the abandoned industrial road next to the Monkey Cave National Primary School and reach the mountain pass of the ancient road. Shortly after crossing the Danlan Bridge, the gold tablet stands upright on the stone wall in front, and the inscription is clear and legible. The old saying in Yilan, "You can't look back at your mother and son after walking through Sandiaoling", and the lyrics of Taiwanese opera, "Sandiaoling, go well and gamble on the ends of the earth", are vivid annotations to the dangers of the old road conditions. Then detour along the mountain road and cross the ridge to the saddle between Sanmuke Dalun and Shumeiping, and come to the "Exploration Pavilion", in front of which is the "Forbidden Monument in the Constitution". Take the Yilan Line train and get off at Houdong Station, and you can get traffic information from Taipei Railway Station. You can also transfer from National Highway No.3 to Expressway No.62, get off at Ruifang Interchange, and then transfer from 102 to North 37 Hou Rui Highway to Houdong Station. The whole journey takes about 2-3 hours → Monkey Cave Railway Station → 15 minutes/former site of Monkey Cave Primary School →5 minutes/climbing the entrance of Danlan Bridge → 35 minutes on the right/golden monument → 10 minutes/forbidden monument in the Constitution →5 minutes/102 county road intersection → 40 minutes on the left.
