What are the starting and ending points of the two corridors?

Kunming-Guangning, Nanning-Guangning.

On May 20th, 2004, when Vietnamese Prime Minister phan van khai paid a state visit to China, he proposed to Premier Wen Jiabao to build "two corridors and one circle".

The development of transportation infrastructure is a priority factor in the process of "two corridors and one circle" construction between China and Vietnam, and it is the top priority. Xu, director of the Asia-Pacific Research Center of the Institute of International Trade and Economic Cooperation of the Ministry of Commerce of China, introduced at the 9th East Asia Economic Forum that the economic corridors of "Kunming-Laojie-Hanoi-Haiphong-Guangning" and "Nanning-lang son-Hanoi-Haiphong-Guangning" and the economic circle around the Beibu Gulf (referred to as "two corridors and one circle") involve 65,430 places in Guangxi, Guangdong, Yunnan, Hainan, Hong Kong, Macau and Vietnam. The two corridors * * * span 1.4 million square kilometers, with a total population of 39 million.

Vietnamese president Chen Daguang said in an interview with the media three days ago that the connection between "two corridors and one circle" and "Belt and Road" will create more opportunities for enterprises of the two countries, especially small and medium-sized enterprises, to deeply participate in the production of regional and global value chains and enhance the added value of products and industries by using the latest scientific and technological achievements. At the same time, docking will strengthen cooperation between the two countries in the fields of environmental protection, climate change, sustainable development and natural resource utilization. Industrialization, modernization, knowledge economy, sustainable development and inclusive development of the two countries will be organically integrated in the process of docking.

Extended data:

The Sino-Vietnamese Red River Boundary River Highway Bridge is a key project in the Sino-Vietnamese "two corridors and one circle" cooperation project. The bridge site is located at the eastern end of Beishan Development Zone, Hekou, China, and the south bank is the old street Jincheng business district. In order to accelerate the realization of the important concept of "two corridors and one circle" advocated by the leaders of China and Vietnam, the two governments signed the Agreement on the Construction of the Sino-Vietnamese Red River Bridge and its implementation protocol in February 2006.

After three years' efforts of both sides, the bridge was completed and opened to traffic as scheduled, which indicated that the economic corridor connecting "Kunming-Mengzi-Hekou-Laojie-Hanoi-Haiphong" was basically connected. One of the tasks carried out simultaneously with this project is that the two governments signed the Memorandum of Understanding on Implementing the Greater Mekong Sub-regional Traffic Facilitation Agreement at Hekou-Laojie Border Port in March 2007, which laid a solid foundation for the interconnection of China-Vietnam traffic networks.
