Since 2007, we have held professional training and used newspapers, radio stations and "Shanxi Civil Affairs" magazine to deeply publicize the significance of building a team of social work talents, so that people gradually understand the rich professional connotation of social work, and provide a basis for further promoting social work. The construction of the talent team has created a good social atmosphere. In 2008, 5,400 people from Shanxi signed up for the first national social worker professional proficiency examination. At the same time, we actively carried out pilot work, combined with the actual situation of our province, and identified 4 units: Shanxi Invalids Psychiatric Rehabilitation Hospital, Shanxi Provincial Retired Army Retired Cadres’ Third Rest Home, Jincheng Invalids Rehabilitation Hospital, and Jincheng Urban Kangle Community Neighborhood Committee As a pilot unit, a pilot work plan has been formulated, a working organization has been established, and efforts have been made to form a work pattern that leads from point to area and promotes comprehensively.
