Pilot cultural industries to help rural revitalization

Recently, the Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism, the Provincial Department of Education, the Provincial Department of Natural Resources, the Provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, and the Provincial Rural Revitalization Bureau jointly announced the first batch of provincial-level cultural industry empowerment rural revitalization pilot units, namely, Wanzhong District of Wuhu City, Qianshan County of Anqing City, Lujiang County of Hefei City, shitai county of Chizhou City, Jixi County of Xuancheng City, Tianchang City of Chuzhou City, Huizhou District of Huangshan City, Yi 'an District of Tongling City, and Jinzhai County of Lu 'an City.

In 2023, the No.1 Document of the Central Committee proposed to promote the implementation of the rural revitalization plan of cultural industry empowerment. The Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Natural Resources, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs and the National Rural Revitalization Bureau jointly implemented the National Cultural Industry Empowerment Rural Revitalization Pilot. It is planned that by 2025, two batches of 100 pilot counties (cities, districts) will be selected, and each batch will be piloted for 3 years. The pilot units will try first in terms of institutional mechanisms, development measures, industrial introduction, and policy guarantee.

According to the relevant work plan, the pilot areas should actively explore and promote the innovative development system such as "Cultural Industry Commissioner" and the mechanism for realizing the value of cultural and ecological resources, promote the application of cultural and artistic elements in rural planning and construction, guide enterprises and talents such as creative design, performance, music, art, handicrafts, digital culture and tourism to enter the countryside, build rural cultural places and brands such as bookstores, small theaters, museums, art galleries, libraries and cultural and creative museums, and highlight the dominant position of farmers.
