Juren Village in Lingshui is located in Mentougou District, Beijing, about 90 kilometers away from Beijing. Whether it is called Lingshui Village or Juren Village, it will be so clever and mysterious that we are a little yearning for it. This is a thousand-year-old village, which became a village as early as the Han Dynasty. The Lingquan Temple in the village was built in the Han Dynasty and is the earliest Buddhist temple in Beijing. In June, 2005, Lingshui Village was listed as the second batch of "Famous Chinese Historical and Cultural Villages" by National Cultural Heritage Administration, and was selected as the shooting location by movies and TV series for many times.

Juren Village in Lingshui is an ancient village formed in Liao and Jin Dynasties, which bears the economic development of Lingshui Village and has a strong cultural atmosphere. Since the imperial examination system prevailed in Ming and Qing dynasties, there has been an endless stream of people in the village who have obtained fame. Since the Ming and Qing Dynasties, there have been more than 20 juren and 9 scholars in Lingshui. In the early years of the Republic of China, six people graduated from the National yenching university, which is why they have the reputation of "Juren Village".

The houses in Lingshui Village are all antique buildings. The screen wall in front of the village "Lingshui Juren Village" was written by Yang Zaichun, a famous calligrapher in China. The black letters on the white background isolate the village from the outside world, and also isolate the noise from the outside world. There is a long alley winding along the screen wall, and the courtyards of ancient houses are located on both sides of the alley. The village is full of shabby old houses. The wooden door of the house was washed gray by rain, and the window lattice was also a bustling appearance.

One or two villagers I occasionally meet are also very simple and rarely talk. It is such an isolated mountain village that has produced so many intellectuals and its cultural heritage has far-reaching influence. There are three stone alleys in front of and behind the village, each of which is of brick structure. The yards with blue bricks and gray tiles are stacked one after another, and the layout is compact and surrounded by each other. Several juren courtyards are elegant and exquisite, and the buildings are all brick-concrete structures with blue bricks and gray tiles. The gatehouse, screen wall, stone brick carving, stone plaque and couplets all embody the profound cultural connotation.

There are many historical sites in the village. However, with the passage of time, most of the temples and halls of cultural relics no longer exist, and the existing temples and halls have been restored, among which Notre Dame de Longwang Temple is one. Two thousand-year-old cypresses protruding from the courtyard wall are rare and wonderful. A mulberry tree parasitized in the middle of a hole in the trunk of a Cooper tree in the Jin Dynasty, with a strange posture. An elm tree is parasitic on the thick branches of another Cooper. These two trees are in full bloom and full of interest. People call it "Bai Bao Sang" and "Bai Bao Jade", which are two of the "Eight Scenes of Lingshui" in Lingshui Village.

Lingshui village has beautiful natural scenery and many cultural relics and historic sites. Since ancient times, there has been a saying of "eight scenic spots in Lingshui". Now the villagers in Lingshui tell me that there are eight scenic spots in the village: Dongling Stone Man, Lotus in Xishan, Beitiao in Nantang, Bai Cui in Beishan, Sang Yu in Bai Bao, Ginkgo biloba in Lingquan, Juren's former residence and temple ruins. Every landscape through the ages has a beautiful legend.
