What do you mean by vigilante?

Vigilante is the participation of ordinary people in police work.

A vigilante group is an ordinary person who participates in police work. Volunteer police officers, the so-called "vigilantes", are voluntary and unpaid, and voluntarily carry out social services and public welfare activities with their own resources such as time and skills for dedication, friendship, mutual assistance and social responsibility. Therefore, vigilantes are not paid.

Vigilante is not a policeman. Policemen are not subject to the adjustment of the People's Police Law of the People's Republic of China, and naturally they are not within the official establishment scope of the People's Police. Security guards should belong to the category of police auxiliary personnel, and assist the people's police in performing official duties or engaging in other auxiliary affairs according to law.

A courageous person refers to a person who points out his dedication, friendship, mutual assistance and social responsibility, and after registration, voluntarily and freely carries out social security prevention and public welfare activities with his own resources such as time and skills. It is a team of public security volunteers who cover all walks of life and voluntarily participate in social prevention and treatment.
