Picking method of seabuckthorn fruit

There are three main methods for picking seabuckthorn fruits, namely, manual picking, mechanical picking and chemical picking. Let me introduce you one by one.

Manual sorting method

At present, the methods of picking seabuckthorn fruits by hand in China are picking, shaking or combined pruning, which are inefficient and labor-consuming.

Mechanical picking method

Compared with manual picking method, mechanical picking method is a more efficient method, which reduces labor loss and production cost. Mechanical picking has little damage to seabuckthorn fruit and is easy to preserve, but it also has some limitations. It can only be used when the seabuckthorn fruit is just ripe and hard.

Chemical picking method

Chemical picking is a new picking method in recent years, which mainly uses chemical substances to ripen and harvest plant fruits. This method is suitable for the stage when seabuckthorn fruit really turns from green to yellow. This method has low cost, but high efficiency, and it is a promising picking method.
