Daxigou Wharf is not remote, and you can reach it by walking down the stairs of Jiabin Road. However, it is not a tourist attraction, and it has been unloaded from the task of freight transportation, so it is not well known.

Parking in Yuzhong District of Chongqing is a big problem. Any abandoned place seems to turn into a parking lot in the end (such as the skydiving tower at two intersections), and Daxigou Wharf is no exception. There is a sentry box and parking bar at the door, which has officially become a parking lot.

I parked my car on a pier with a steep slope, feeling that this is also a sight that can only be seen in Chongqing.

Daxigou Wharf has an excellent view. Looking up, you can see that Monorail Line 2 goes through with a bang. Looking down, you can see the Jialing River water flowing back and forth on the instep, opposite to the high-rise buildings in Jiangbei, and to the east, you can see Huanghuayuan Bridge, Qiansimen Bridge and Raffles Shopping Center in Chaotianmen Square.

Compared with the beaches of Hualong Bridge and Niujiaotuo River, Daxigou Wharf is undoubtedly a quieter and more hydrophilic place.

But the flood season has arrived in July, and the Jialing River and the Yangtze River have become perilous. Passing through Tongyuan Bureau on the weekend, I found that the river was fast, almost approaching the bamboo and wood market. I don't know when to come to Daxigou Wharf next time.
