Daxigou in Chongqing is an old community. What is the environment like here?

As a relatively backward urban construction area in Yuzhong District, the unique charm of Daxigou is often ignored by local residents and foreign tourists. Prior to this, Mr. Youpin Groundhog had written a lot about various aspects of Daxigou.

In addition to the Great Hall of the People and the Three Gorges Museum, which are well-known on People's Road, we have also introduced a large number of noodle restaurants with outstanding quality in this area, the flower wholesale market hidden under Pingjie, the vegetable market full of human feelings, the eighth street in Huafu Lane, and the power plant expert guest house built in the 1950s.

If you are interested in this, you can go to Chongqing Youpin homepage to search for keywords.

This article will introduce another scenic spot worth cherishing near Daxigou? It's Daxigou Wharf.

Note: it's dangerous to go to the dock. The photos in the article were taken before the flood season. If you are interested in visiting, you must confirm the water situation of Jialing River in advance.

Daxigou Wharf is not remote, and you can reach it by walking down the stairs of Jiabin Road. However, it is not a tourist attraction, and it has been unloaded from the task of freight transportation, so it is not well known.

Parking in Yuzhong District of Chongqing is a big problem. Any abandoned place seems to turn into a parking lot in the end (such as the skydiving tower at two intersections), and Daxigou Wharf is no exception. There is a sentry box and parking bar at the door, which has officially become a parking lot.

I parked my car on a pier with a steep slope, feeling that this is also a sight that can only be seen in Chongqing.

Daxigou Wharf has an excellent view. Looking up, you can see that Monorail Line 2 goes through with a bang. Looking down, you can see the Jialing River water flowing back and forth on the instep, opposite to the high-rise buildings in Jiangbei, and to the east, you can see Huanghuayuan Bridge, Qiansimen Bridge and Raffles Shopping Center in Chaotianmen Square.

Looking at these noisy scenes from Daxigou Wharf, it seems that there is also a layer of silence.

Walking down the west slope, there are cement columns supporting the pavement on the left, and several outer columns are engraved with the water levels of 20 18 and 20 12 Jialing River flood peaks.

20 18 flood peak, 20 12 On July 3, the water level of Jialing River rose to 185.49 meters, and it was higher on July 24, 20 187.78 meters, almost parallel to the road surface (the Yangtze River washed up on Nanbin Road that year).

Although there are no laws and regulations prohibiting citizens from coming to riverside areas for leisure, many slogans have been posted along the way.

After all? The river is ruthless. Is it dangerous to enter the water? Every summer, you can see the news that someone has thrown himself into the river. Yuzhong District Renmin Road Primary School even posted:? No playing or swimming by the river? Attention.

There is really no shadow of primary school students by the dock.

Apart from me, there are only fishing enthusiasts, car owners, residents who brush by the Jialing River with heavy burdens, and two girls who just bought flowers at the flower market and are taking off their shoes to make the Jialing River overflow.

I also took off my shoes and kicked water by the river. On closer inspection, Jialing River is still grayish yellow.

But there is no shade by the dock, and the direct sunlight makes people dizzy. I played for a while, then put on my shoes and left.

Compared with the beaches of Hualong Bridge and Niujiaotuo River, Daxigou Wharf is undoubtedly a quieter and more hydrophilic place.

But the flood season has arrived in July, and the Jialing River and the Yangtze River have become perilous. Passing through Tongyuan Bureau on the weekend, I found that the river was fast, almost approaching the bamboo and wood market. I don't know when to come to Daxigou Wharf next time.

But I secretly plan to come back here in the future.

Where do you think the most beautiful hydrophilic pier in Chongqing is?
