Aiesec slogan

During the summer vacation of 20 17, I had the honor to participate in the ECOFTURE project of Yekaterinburg branch of AIESEC in Russia. At first, I thought it was a long six weeks. Looking back now, it seems that it passed in an instant. All my memories are in Siberia, north of the border, and the long day in the west of the sun. The scenery in Russia is beautiful, the Russian boys are handsome, the Russian girls are beautiful, the Russian residents are friendly and the international volunteers are super cool. This is the overall impression of this project in my memory.

On July 6th, I arrived in Yekaterinburg with three other friends from China. It was raining heavily when we got off the plane, and the sky was overcast. The cold wind and rain made us feel the power of cold Siberia for the first time. But enthusiastic Russians dispelled our cold. Russia is a warm and open country, and drinking makes people here calm and friendly. Whether you buy a bottle of mineral water in a small shop or ask someone for directions in the street, everyone will greet you with a smile. Even if they don't know English, they will try their best to help you and wave to you with a smile when they say goodbye. Some Russians even want to take photos with us and add Whatsapp to each other, hoping to learn Chinese with us.

We live with six other international volunteers from different countries in a private apartment for international students next to Ural University. We often cook together, go sightseeing everywhere, occasionally have a drink in the park, barbecue by the lake, and party in nightclubs. Together, we experienced a wonderful time established by friends from different countries and cultures.

During the project, the specific work includes garbage removal in forest park, environmental protection keynote speech, environmental protection poster production, outdoor hiking, welfare home exchange, environmental protection English teaching, environmental protection drama performance, environmental protection lecture of Ural University, animal protection summer camp, international ecological festival, etc. Through personal practice, the awareness of environmental protection has been engraved in the hearts of every volunteer. Through repeated interaction with the public, more people have been influenced by us and will join the environmental protection camp. When we posted environmental protection slogans in the forest, several passers-by said to us in English, "This is really a good job!" " At that time, I felt that my actions were recognized in another corner of the earth, and my heart further affirmed the significance of my trip to Russia. The environmental-themed drama performance in the downtown theater has devoted the efforts of screenwriters, dance teachers, vocal music teachers and volunteers from seven different countries. This drama is not professional, and it may not be beautiful, but it is indeed the cultural brand we left in Yeka.

When we were leaving, Ogdi said that Istanbul would leave me a room, Ayman said that he would wait for me in Hrga every summer vacation, and Dasha said that he hoped to meet again one summer vacation, whether in China or Russian.

Sometimes I think farewell is forever, but I have friends overseas and heaven is still our neighbor. What's more, people who meet will meet again.
