Leizi Gongs and Drums

Leizi gongs and drums are a kind of Han folk instrumental music popular in Liangping County, Chongqing City. In Liangping, ancient people said that "Shu people go to the mountains and the gongs and drums make noise in the sky".

Over the years, Liangshan Lezi gongs and drums have been closely connected with the lives of local people. During festivals, opening ceremonies, birthday ceremonies, weddings and funerals, etc., people always like to use Liangshan gongs and drums to enhance the atmosphere. The annual Liangshan gongs and drums festival to welcome the Spring Festival has become a local folk custom passed down from generation to generation. In addition, impromptu performances and entertainment can be performed in rural courtyards and fields according to people's needs for production, labor and life.

On May 20, 2006, Liangping Lezi Gongs and Drums were approved by the State Council to be included in the first batch of national intangible cultural heritage lists.

Liang Ping Ti'er Diao

Liang Ping Ti'er Diao is also known as Liang Gong Haozi. Because Liang Gong is commonly known as Tiu'er, it is also called Tiu'er Diao and is popular in Chongqing. A form of Han folk music in Liangping County of the city, which evolved from the local work-carrying chants, has a history of at least hundreds of years.

The combination of lifters includes 2 lifters, 4 lifters, 6 lifters, 8 lifters, 16 lifters, 32 lifters, 48 ??lifters, 64 lifters, and 128 lifters. The number of people to be carried depends on the weight of the goods. The average load-bearing capacity per person is 50-80 kilograms. The load-bearing capacity of the head and tail bars is higher, generally 100-200 kilograms. A combination of 128 people can lift about 5 tons of weight. The technical requirements for lifters are very high. The lifting of shoulders and the start are very particular. As the leaders of the head and tail poles, they must be strong and have stable stakes in order to fully command all the lifters. The more people there are, the more thrilling the scene will be, the more exciting the performance will be, and the more the skills of the entire team will be displayed.

In 2008, the Ministry of Culture officially announced the second batch of recommended projects for the national intangible cultural heritage list, and Liang Ping Tier was selected.
