Summary of practice in pet hospital (5 selected articles)
Pets are animals and plants kept for spiritual purposes. Generally, pets are kept to eliminate loneliness or entertainment. In the past, pets were generally mammals or birds, because these animals had developed brains and were easy to communicate with people. The following is a summary of my internship in the pet hospital. Welcome to read it.
summary of internship in pet hospital 1
the internship for more than half a year has come to an end, but the memories and feelings left in my heart are unforgettable. In the past six months, we have been nervous, worked hard, been happy, awakened and confident. These unprecedented experiences have made us progress, grow up and learn something we have never learned before in school.
I worked as an intern in Q7 Pet Hospital from September 1th, 2xx to February 15th, 2xx. This hospital is located in Nanshan District, Shenzhen, and it is a private pet hospital. The hospital covers a small area of less than 1 square meters and has two floors. The infrastructure in the pet hospital is relatively complete, and all the necessary operating rooms, beauty rooms and infectious disease isolation rooms are set up. However, due to the small scale, the hospital is still in the development stage, so there are not many advanced medical equipment. There are not many employees on the job, and there are four people in total.
This pet hospital mainly provides beauty treatment, medical treatment, surgery and hospitalization for pets, and sells pet food, pet toys and pet-related articles. There is a large customer flow every day, and our main work there every day is to clean up, receive the little pets who come to see a doctor, help the little pets to do some simple beauty treatments, give them injections, and regularly disinfect the hospital and other relatively simple work.
The pets who come to the pet hospital are mainly dogs, among which Bomei, Golden Retriever, Shepherd Dog, Chihuahua and others come to see the doctor. Most of these dogs are received by their owners by air from other provinces or abroad, and they will bring some diseases more or less because they are consigned from different places. During the internship, the cases I came into contact with were mainly infectious diseases (such as canine distemper, parvovirus disease and tuberculosis), parasitic diseases, surgical diseases (such as trauma and abscess), internal diseases (stomatitis and pneumonia), toxic diseases (organophosphorus compound poisoning) and other diseases.
The owner of this hospital is a senior in our Liuzhou Animal Husbandry School. He is strict with us in his work and cares about us very much in his life. From him and other pet doctors, we have learned a lot about being a man, doing things and starting a business, and made me deeply realize that being a qualified pet doctor requires not only skilled operation skills, And also need excellent professional quality:
I have summed up three points:
1. Ideological quality
Everyone in the pet industry should have love for small animals, love pet work, devote themselves to the pet cause, and establish a solid professional thinking; We should have good medical ethics, be serious and responsible, and unite and cooperate.
2. Professional quality
Be sincere, warm, caring and considerate to customers, master the psychological characteristics of pets, give meticulous treatment, be skilled in technology, be accurate, safe and strive for perfection, have keen observation, be good at discovering changes in illness, and be calm and agile and decisive in rescue when encountering sudden changes in illness.
3. Scientific quality
As a pet doctor, we should have the spirit of seeking truth from facts and being brave in exploration, master the basic theory of this subject seriously, and know the nature of each operation and why. As a pet doctor, you should strive to broaden your knowledge!
What impressed me most about this internship is not how to treat pets and beautify them, but how more and more people pay attention to pets, which are mainly reflected in young people and some white-collar workers. This may have a lot to do with the economy, the ideas of people of different ages and the changes of people's mentality. Every pet owner treats his pet like his relatives, and takes great pains to think about all aspects of his pet life. I remember that a middle-aged woman went to the hospital crying and holding her sick little golden hair during the treatment.
Nowadays, the concept of keeping pets is very different from the past. Dogs and cats no longer play the role of gatekeepers and mice, but human playmates in leisure. With the prosperity of material life, people pay more and more attention to the cultivation of leisure life interest. They regard pets as one of the family members, and the status of pets in the family can be seen. After careful consideration, in a modern family, we can say that we have everything, such as color TV, stereo, air conditioner, but what seems to be missing? Lacking something to communicate feelings and understand, pets play such a role. When people appreciate these lovely pets, their spirits will be adjusted and their worries may quietly leave. Furthermore, with the change and disintegration of the traditional family structure, interpersonal relationships tend to fade gradually, making more and more people devote their feelings to pets, and the dependence between people and pets will become increasingly strong with the passage of time.
Pets play an important role in social life and family life; It enters the family circle, acts as people's life partner, enters the social circle, embodies people's status, and gives it to relatives and friends as a valuable gift; It has entered the economic circle and developed pets to drive the rise of a number of industries ... With the development of the times and the renewal of people's concepts, the rise of the pet industry in various cities in China will be beyond doubt.
Through this internship, I realized that China is rich in pet breed resources and pet feed resources, which are in urgent need of research and development by animal experts and enthusiasts.
half a year's internship has benefited me a lot. Internship is not only a precious memory in my life, but also the starting point of another life. I believe I will do well in the future. Summary of internship in pet hospital 2
The internship has ended, but the feelings and insights I have left in my heart will be my precious memories forever. A little bitter, a little tired, and I thought about giving up, but I'm glad I persisted. Through these unprecedented experiences, I learned a lot that books can't, which not only broadened my horizons, but also made me awake to the importance of integrating theory with practice in veterinary medicine.
Our animal hospital is small and old, but the teachers are really strong, like Miss Li, who is famous in the veterinary field all over the country. In a word, our animal hospital has a strong cultural awareness, and we don't make superficial articles, but treat animals in a down-to-earth manner. I mainly stayed in the group clinic and pet clinic for a few days, mastered some basic clinical skills, and learned a lot of essentials and learning skills in the profession of veterinary through communication with teachers. I am very grateful to the teacher for his guidance and education.
Most of the people who come to see a doctor in the group clinic are farmers, and there are also some large farms that send sick animals for testing. Here, I mainly learned basic techniques such as autopsy, describing and recording basic lesions, and simple pathogen detection, which is largely due to the teacher's guiding methods. Teacher Zhang taught us to do it ourselves, not just watch and copy the medical records. We must do it ourselves, not afraid of being dirty and tired, try to describe some diseases and think about their causes, and then read books and materials to understand the relevant knowledge, so as to truly turn knowledge into our own.
To put it simply, it means integrating theory with practice, and then summing up practice and upgrading it to theory, so as to raise one's knowledge to a higher level. During my internship, I kept studying like this, but I was very efficient, learned a lot, and basically mastered it. I finally understand the importance of learning methods, and it is necessary to ask for advice from my predecessors! In the future study life, I will pay more attention to communicate with others and ask more experience from experienced predecessors to improve learning efficiency.
During the internship, it was found that many cases were caused by drug abuse by farmers. Livestock and poultry are sick, and some farmers do not look for experienced doctors to diagnose them, but only choose and use drugs at will based on their feelings and drug advertisements. Teacher Zhang told us that because each drug has its specific mechanism and scope of action, one drug is by no means omnipotent, so there are often some phenomena of "drugs are not right for cause", which do not work and even cause serious losses.
Especially in recent years, a large number of biological products that have not been approved by the state have illegally entered the market by various means, leading to the spread and spread of pathogens and the epidemic of diseases. Some chemicals and Chinese herbal medicine preparations have been arbitrarily expanded in curative effect and application scope, which greatly increases the difficulty of identifying the curative effect of drugs and effectively controlling diseases. I also searched the internet for some related information myself, and found that many large farms suffer extremely serious economic losses every year because of drug abuse. I hope I can engage in this profession in the future and make my own contribution to improving this situation!
In the pet clinic, most of them are dogs, including Bomei, Samoyed and Shepherd Dog. Most of the diseases are canine distemper, parvovirus, dermatosis and other bacterial and viral diseases. I learned some basic skills from my brothers and sisters here, such as taking temperature, detecting canine distemper and other viruses, and giving injections. Although it is far from the level of a pet doctor, I believe that "a journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step", as long as you are serious and practical, you can do it one day.
I also realized that in modern society, as a pet doctor, we should have the spirit of seeking truth from facts and being brave in exploration, master the basic theory of this subject seriously, know the nature of each operation and why, and strive to broaden our knowledge! Summary of internship in pet hospital 3
I worked as an intern in the pet hospital from XX to XX in 2xx. After my five-week practice in the pet hospital, I have a different view on my major. Maybe I didn't know it in depth before, and some of them were not very emotionally understood.
Time flies. I worked as an intern in J.J. Pet Hospital for a month in a blink of an eye. There, the working hours are very long, from 9: a.m. to 9: p.m., 12 hours a day. Sometimes I'm busy, but sometimes I'm too busy to feel lonely. That taste is really unusual, so it's all fake to say I'm not tired, just to comfort myself. But at the same time, I learned a lot and realized a lot there. In the past, I just listened to teachers, brothers and sisters talk verbally, and I didn't know what it was really like until I personally practiced.
I also learned there that to do a good job, you must have a certain will, be good at learning, find problems, ask more questions about why this is so, and observe things around you carefully and summarize and accumulate them in time. You can certainly learn a lot, get into the habit of thinking more and asking more questions, and it will certainly be helpful for your future work.
during the one-month internship, I was just a helper who didn't know anything there. I didn't know what to do. I don't know what to do. The people who just arrived there are not as enthusiastic as I thought. I didn't receive much enthusiasm, which can be said to be indifference. They won't care about you there, let you die there. If you want them to teach you anything, it's impossible. You should observe everything carefully, carefully see how they do it, and then keep it in your mind silently, and don't let go of any details on the way.
Although those movements are very simple to try, some skills are mixed in them. After a day or two of observation and a basic understanding of their working mode, you should not only carefully observe the process of everything they do, but also actively ask them why they do it and whether they can teach you. Only in this way will you do it. Until you know how to do it, take the initiative to ask them to do it for you, because usually knowing how others do it doesn't mean you will do it. Only when you really do it will you know if you will do it or not.
You may be nervous and not smooth at first, but don't lose heart and feel embarrassed. If you do too much, you will naturally do it. Don't be afraid to make mistakes. They won't blame you for making mistakes. Just correct them and just don't make the same mistake again next time. That's what I did, and it felt good. I believe that as long as you stick to this, you will soon understand the basic operation there, and you won't have to worry about what I should do at work. And because of your initiative, they will slowly impress you, then they will slowly accept you and communicate with you, and gradually you will not be unfamiliar with the staff there.
when I first came here, I felt I had a lot to learn, but once I learned it, I didn't know what to do with the rest of my time. When you are busy there, you will be very busy, and you should help dogs and cats bathe; Help the doctor fix the sick dog or cat to give him an injection; I have to clean up ... but the busy time is only temporary, and most of the time is free time, so I have nothing to do. If it's only for a day or two, I don't feel anything, but if it's long-term, it will be boring. How to spend these boring hours?
There, in my spare time, I like to observe every corner of the pet hospital, deliberately look at those slogans, slogans, instructions and articles, and then write down what I don't know and what I think is useful for my study; Or run to the pharmacy and write down the pharmacology and usage of commonly used drugs in the pharmacy; If I don't understand, I will go back to the dormitory to look up books at night, but I still don't understand and ask the doctor tomorrow. Because of this, I understand the common sense of dogs and cats, the use of various instruments, the types, functions and precautions of dog and cat vaccines, and the detection of canine distemper parvovirus.
It turns out that you need to learn all these things by yourself, and the staff won't teach you. If you just hold them, you will teach you, then you won't learn anything after a month's internship, and I won't realize it until after the internship. Finally, I want to say that when you go to a strange place for internship, you should first get familiar with the working environment there quickly, then observe carefully and quietly, and observe how the staff there do it. Finally, take the initiative to do it, and be nimble. Remember this sentence: "Do more, talk less!"
The biggest feeling of my internship is that when people appreciate these lovely pets, their spirits can be adjusted, and their worries may quietly leave. Coupled with the change and disintegration of family structure, interpersonal relationship tends to fade gradually, which makes more and more people put their feelings on their pets, and the dependence between people and pets will become increasingly strong with the passage of time. Summary of internship in pet hospital 4
I finally ended my internship for nearly half a year, and I really have mixed feelings. Looking back on this period, I went to xxx Hospital for internship with nervousness and fear from the beginning, until I took part in many activities, became familiar with the warm hospital environment and workplace culture, and adjusted myself to actively contact people, not only patients, but even established good relations with other staff, which was the most valuable experience and growth.
The most special thing in the internship is to bring a "psychiatric group". In the past, my understanding of psychiatric patients was terrible and aggressive, but after I joined the group for seven times, I gradually changed my view of them. From the group activities, it is found that this group of psychiatric patients are actually very cute, and the medical social work team of xxx Hospital inspires their potential through the design of activities. At first, I was a little surprised to get in touch with psychiatric patients, but now I am very happy that I am
