The background of the founding of the National Student Games

In order to fully implement the Party's educational policy and promote the development of school sports, the State Sports General Administration and the Central Committee of the Communist Youth League decided to merge the National University Games and the National Middle School Games into the National Student Games (full name: China People's National Student Games) according to the School Sports Regulations and the Notice of the Ministry of Education on Further Standardizing the Bid and Preparation of Large-scale Comprehensive Games (No.2011] 24 issued by the Central Office).

The 12th Student Games of the People's Republic of China was held in Shanghai from July 28th to August 2nd, 20th14. This sports meeting is only for middle school students. Sports include track and field, swimming, basketball, volleyball, football, martial arts, aerobics and table tennis. At the same time, scientific and technological paper reports and national traditional sports schools will be held.

Under the leadership of the party committees and governments of all provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the Central Government, local education, sports, the Communist Youth League and other departments have thoroughly implemented the spirit of "Opinions of the Central Committee of the State Council on Strengthening Youth Sports and Strengthening Youth Physical Fitness" and "Notice of the General Office of the State Council on Forwarding Some Opinions of the Ministry of Education and other departments on Further Strengthening School Physical Education", extensively carried out sunshine sports, paid attention to educating people, highlighted school characteristics, and made teams participate in student sports meetings.
