In order to express his determination to be diligent and honest, Tao Shu posted this couplet in the official residence:

The first part: the breeze circumvents the case, sweeping the dust and sweeping the officials;

Bottom line: Looking up at the sun, the bright hole shines on my heart.

Tao Shu has been an honest official, diligent and loving the people all his life, and has made many achievements in benefiting the country and the people. According to historical records, he often used his private money for disaster relief and running schools.
