Shui Yi Miao Village Prose
Leigong Mountain is a place where Miao people live in southeastern Guizhou. I walked along a canal from the waist of Leigong Mountain and gradually came to a valley. It's early spring, and all the trees in the valley are sprouting. Although the trees here will not dry up even in winter, in this season, the trees suddenly spit out fresh green. There are all kinds of greens in the world, most of which are named according to the degree of green, and the green in Lei Valley is a word-fresh. I am very grateful for the richness of Chinese vocabulary. Otherwise, only one word "beauty" can't express the green flavor of plants in the valley. Trees are bright green, so are all kinds of grass and wild vegetables. Weeds include PUCCINELLIA tenuiflora, Taraxacum mongolicum, Bupleurum chinense, clover, chrysanthemum, almond, lavender, Yan Yi, Artemisia argyi, broad-leaved eggplant and so on. Weeds include bracken, mustard, wild celery, wild onion and wild leek ... I can't name them, but I know these grasses are closely related to these wild vegetables and the lives of Miao people.
The grass in the canal and the valley is high and low, whispering to each other and ignoring me as an unexpected guest. I approached them and their voices were so low that I couldn't even hear them. Once people walk away, their voices will become louder. Among these plants, some bloom and some don't, no matter whether they bloom or not, they don't compare with each other. Those flowering grasses and wild vegetables, unobtrusive, lightly bloom and fade, walk by the canal. If you don't look carefully, you really can't see the small flowers hidden in the bushes. They are small, exquisite and colorful, which brings special beauty to Leishan. There are also groups of flowers, namely azaleas. The azaleas here are not red, but pink, which may be another variety of azaleas.
Of course, trees are the masters of the valley. There are some trees in canals and valleys, which I have never seen in the north. There is a tree called Cyclobalanopsis guizhouensis, which has oval leaves, thick trunk and no flowers. Its function is only to protect the water and soil of Leigong Mountain. This makes me very moved. There is another tree that is even more amazing. The local Miao people call it "trunk flower", but I can't find its scientific name. However, I approached it and stood side by side with it. I saw that the trunk below 2 meters from the ground was no different from other trunks, but beyond 2 meters, the trunk was surprisingly "exploded" until it reached the crown of the tree. It's not so much an explosion as a flowering. The bark opens its mouth one by one, and it seems to be blown away by the wind between falling off and not falling off. There are huge palm-sized leaves on the crown of the tree. Friends say that such trees don't bloom, and they may also envy those trees that will bloom. So the enthusiasm for flowering is concentrated on the trunk, forming the strangeness of "trunk flowering", which is really incredible.
Besides plants, what are there beside canals and valleys? There is also the wind, which is very small, but you can obviously feel them stroking everything in the valley. Plants like the wind, which can help them carry pollen and make it farther and farther away. The farther a plant's genes are, the stronger its offspring will be. What else in the valley? Maple trees, land and rocks, of course. I don't recognize maple trees, but among the trees, I believe there must be maple trees. Not to mention land and rocks, there are rocks everywhere, and rocks and soil are intimate. I was surprised to find that many rocks were covered with moss, so I carefully tore off a piece and immediately exposed the stiff rocks. How does moss attach to rocks? It turned out that the rock absorbed the dust first, and the dust was wetted by water, resulting in moss. Therefore, yellow or green rocks become bright green. Some rocks are wet and seem to be sweating, but they are actually dripping. This Leigong Mountain has been moistened by rain for many years. It doesn't pour out the water at once, but first eats the water in its stomach and then secretes it a little. Therefore, all the streams here flow all the year round.
Where there is water, there are Miao people. There are also rocks that produce water. Obviously, the Miao people are grateful for these stones. They put their sacred bronze drums and long drums in rock caves. When the Drum Festival, Dragon Boat Festival and Miao Year are over, they will invite the drums out of the cave in a sacred and grand way. After the memorial ceremony, they invited their ancestors to spend this sacred festival with them. Butterflies are also revered by Miao people, so I paid great attention to the appearance of butterflies all the way. Time lingers in the third month of the lunar calendar. There are not many butterflies in the valley, and only a few are occasionally seen. To my surprise, the butterflies in the valley are very big. The biggest one is a bit like a swallow. I saw a black butterfly near the first waterfall in Leigong Mountain. Its whole body is almost black, and when it spreads its wings, it can be seen that there is a little yellowish in the middle of it, as if it were something. When it falls on the grass or leaves, you can clearly see two blue spots under the wings. By the canal, I walked, butterflies walked, butterflies walked, I walked, as if it were fate. During this period, it fell on my shoulder three times, as if I were not a Mongolian, but a Miao.
When I entered the Miao people's thatched cottage, I saw Miao women wearing Tang Dynasty-style bun on their heads, hanging high above their heads. Every Miao woman should put a big flower on her bun. Flowers and butterflies are inseparable. It is also a kind of respect for butterflies to tie flowers in a bun. Every Miao village is really surrounded by a small river, which is formed by a stream in the mountains. I don't know how to describe these stones and the stream flowing between them. There are many stones in the valley, and the stream overflows from the top of the stone. The stone is neither annoyed nor fired, so it snuggles up by the stream. The powerful Miao people are as hard as rocks, but they live with rivers. Just talk about this stream around me. They led the way in front of me. When they can't see themselves, they get into the bushes and disappear. I can't see my figure for the time being, but I can hear their voices. They make "urgent" sounds or "glug" sounds. Mountains and rocks are the hum of sound. Walking in the mountains for a long time, I can hear the difference of voices, even the sound of "Hua La", sometimes gentle, sometimes vigorous, sometimes the breeze blows on my face, and sometimes Ma Benteng.
I tried to walk lightly so as not to disturb the stream. This stream is changing. On the cliff, it is not a stream, but suddenly becomes a waterfall. The waterfall clings to the cliff and falls into a deep pool dozens of meters below. The water is white in the process of landing, as white as snow, and falls into the pool. First white, and then gradually eased to green, almost the color of moss. There are three waterfalls in Xiangshui Rock, Leigong Mountain, so it is also called Grade III Waterfall. One is more spectacular than the other. The waterfall is moving when it falls off the cliff and static when it falls into the pool. The quiet waterfall turned into a stream again, and it continued to flow forward, with just the right action. I also continue to walk along the stream. The stream doesn't walk fast, but I walk fast. At this time, I am moving and the stream is quiet. In fact, I think that when the stream is quiet, it also contains movement, and when it moves, it also contains silence. This can be associated with humans. Once they act, they cannot stop. Once they calm down, there is no sign of any progress. From this point of view, Xiaoxi is more cultured than us. No wonder Miao people worship nature.
Streams converge into rivers and pass through many Miao villages. Miao village called a stream and the stream jumped over. I'm going to two Miao villages, one is Langde Shangzhai and the other is Xijiang Qianhu Miao Village, both of which are famous Miao villages in southeastern Guizhou. Langde Shangzhai Miao Village is the stockade for the torch relay of Beijing Olympic Games, and Xijiang Qianhu Miao Village is the stockade for the essayist who wrote "Answering Everything with Beauty". These Miao villages were bred by a stream flowing down from Leigong Mountain. There is a river in front of the village. The river in front of Langde Shangzhai Village is called Bala River. The stream has been flowing into the beautiful Danjiang River. There is a wind and rain wooden bridge on the river, a stone mill beside the stream, 8 acres of flat land, and a racecourse with a height of 150 meters. Every year in March of the lunar calendar, young Miao men and women at the junction of Leishan, Kaili, Majiang and Danzhai hold climbing activities here, singing duet and horse racing. Roads, dams and gates in the village are paved with pebbles or bluestones. What is touching is that the site completely imitates the pattern of the sun pattern on the surface of the ancient bronze drum, and it is paved with blue-brown pebbles and stones to form twelve rays.
March has passed when I went to Langde stockade, and the stockade is very quiet. In Wangfeng River, a Miao old man is taking a bath with a buffalo. He asked and answered, saying that buffalo is specially used for festival bullfighting. Without festivals, there is no spark of passion. Lande Shangzhai has carefully cultivated nearly 100 bulls, which are specially used for festival bullfighting. The name of the Xijiang Qianhu Miao Village is Baishui River. The name of the river is different, but the water quality is the same and the source of the water is the same. I asked the Miao people, and they all proudly said that their water was given by Leigong Mountain. Just one sentence expressed their gratitude to Dashan. Yes, the ancestors of Miao moved from the east of China to the southwest of China and were left behind by the landscape here. Now that you have stayed, you can create a miracle of life here. They built on the mountain and built a house with distinctive Miao characteristics-Diaojiaolou. They hunted in the mountains, planted rice and corn on the limited flat land in the mountain stream, and lifted the water from the lower part to the higher paddy field with water trucks. The terraces were full of water, planted sweet rice and corn, and raised generations of Miao children.
Water is dull, and water is also passionate. Miao people use glutinous rice and distiller's yeast, then add water to brew fragrant rice wine, and pound sweet glutinous rice with mallet. They raise fish in rice fields and cook delicious sour soup fish ... If you stay in Miao village for a few days, you can always enjoy the benefits that water brings to Miao people everywhere. I stayed in Baishui River for two days and fully realized the gratitude of the Miao people here to Baishui River. They don't lack water here, but they still save water. There are many water patterns on the eaves of their diaojiao building. Miao women and Baishuihe never put a lot of washing powder when washing clothes. Instead, put the clothes that need to be washed on the bluestone board according to the way our ancestors washed them. Knock with a mallet, bang bang, and the riverbed echoed with a nice rhythmic knock. The river flows downwards, and they don't stop drinking. Water belongs to everyone and should be enjoyed by brothers and sisters downstream. In some sections of the river bed, they piled up artificial "dams" with stones, and the river passed through the cracks in the stones, making a rushing sound, like a musician tuning the strings.
Walking along the Baishui River, you can often see girls in the fine arts department of the university drawing watercolor sketches. Their long skirts are fluttering, dignified and elegant, forming a landscape. They are painting by the river, and I hold the fence by the river to see their paintings. The clouds on their canvas are white, the sky is blue, and there is no flaw. The distant mountains they painted are black, the steps are purple, the trees are green, the boats are red, and the diaojiao buildings are all white ... I don't know why these girls painted the diaojiao buildings of the Miao nationality white, perhaps because they entrusted their purity to their hearts.
People in many parts of the earth can no longer live in harmony with the earth, but in the Miao village in the southwest, the original innocence is still preserved. I told Mrs Miao, who has been living in the diaojiao building these days, that when I retire, I will move to Miao village, grow rice with you, drink and sing, and be closer to the Baishui River below the village to be a beautiful person.
