How to make pickled cucumbers

Making cucumber sauce at home is more reliable and affordable than buying it out. However, many people are not good at making pickled cucumbers. The steps for making pickled cucumbers today are very simple and take a short time, but they are very delicious.

Ingredients: cucumber, garlic, spicy millet, honey, salt, sugar, light soy sauce, balsamic vinegar

Steps:

1. Prepare with water Wash the good cucumbers, remove both ends, and cut the cucumbers into rectangles.

Note: You don’t have to cut off the two ends when making cucumbers. Because I prefer to eat the middle part, I removed the two ends.

2. Prepare a clean small bowl, put the cucumber into the bowl, add appropriate amount of sugar and salt, and mix well with your hands. Marinate for about half an hour.

Note: If you have enough time, you can pickle the cucumbers one night in advance, then press them with something heavier overnight, and then clean the cucumbers the next day to bring out the flavor. And the taste will be better.

3. Prepare a clean bowl, add an appropriate amount of honey, a small amount of sugar, an appropriate amount of light soy sauce and vinegar, stir evenly with chopsticks and set aside. You can control these four types. The ratio of seasonings is about two to one to four to one.

Note: You do not need to follow this ratio exactly. You can adjust it appropriately according to your own taste, but the gap must not be too big.

4. Wash the prepared millet peppers, remove the stems, and cut them into two pieces. Peel the garlic and smash it with the back of a knife. Put the millet peppers and garlic into a bowl and stir evenly with chopsticks.

5. After the cucumbers are pickled, a lot of water will precipitate. Pour out the water and pour the prepared seasoning into a bowl. When preparing the seasoning, try to add as much as possible, at least Just enough to cover the cucumber.

Note: As long as the amount does not cover the cucumbers, you can completely skip the step of turning them over.

If you make too much pickled cucumbers, you can put the cucumbers in a bowl, cover them with plastic wrap, and put them in a refrigerator to refrigerate. If you don’t have a refrigerator open at home, just put them directly outside the window.
