Printing ink?
1, composition and function of ink
Due to different types of ink, the efficiency is also different, that is, there are thick and thin, thick and light, quick drying and slow drying. The composition of ink and auxiliary materials are the basis of ink and imprinting. Therefore, understanding and understanding the role of ink components in ink is of great significance for us to accurately understand the effectiveness of ink in printmaking and improve our printing level.
① Pigments Pigments include pigments and dyes. The colored substances used in printing ink are usually pigments, which are extremely fine colored substances. Pigment has a great influence on the efficiency of ink. The relative density, transparency, heat resistance, light resistance and chemical resistance of ink are all related to pigments.
Binder Binder is a kind of fluid with a certain viscosity, and its functions are various. As the carrier of pigment, solid particles such as powdery pigment can be mixed and connected, so that the attached pigment can finally be attached to printed matter.
(3) filler filler is a white solid substance that can be dispersed evenly and well in the binder, and it is a fine powder. When the fillers are mixed and ground into slurry in the binder, some are transparent and some are opaque.
2, the role of various additives in ink
Due to the differences in temperature and humidity of printing environment, characteristics of printing materials and printing conditions, although there are various inks, they often cannot meet various printing adaptability requirements. Therefore, it is very beneficial to add some additives to the selected ink to ensure the printing effect.
① Blending Oils commonly used are No.6 and No.0. No.6 ink blending oil is used to increase the fluidity of ink, improve the transfer performance of ink, and reduce the concentration, viscosity and dryness of ink; No.0 oil has high viscosity. When the ink viscosity is insufficient, the ink color will be blurred or even the ink distribution will be uneven. The viscosity and adhesion of ink can be increased after a proper amount of No.0 oil is beaten and mixed.
(2) Debonding agent Debonding agent is a mixture of wax paste with loose and smooth texture. After adding a proper amount of ink, the viscosity of ink can be reduced, the defects of paper pulling and powder dropping can be reduced, and the ink uniformity can be improved.
(3) Anti-sticking agent After adding an appropriate amount of anti-sticking agent to the ink, the back of the printed paper stack can be prevented from getting dirty because the ink layer is not dry, thus ensuring the printing quality.
(4) The new agent is a white and transparent paste. After adding a proper amount of ink, it can eliminate the phenomenon of paper shedding and powder, thus preventing the defects of page stacking and pasting.
⑤ Diluent Diluent is an ointment-like transparent substance with good gloss and printing efficiency, which can dilute the hue of ink when added to color ink.
⑥ Antiwear agent It is a wax paste made of polyethylene wax and high boiling point kerosene. Adding 1%-5% antiwear agent to ink can improve the abrasion resistance of ink layer and reduce the viscosity of ink.
⑦ After the dry inhibitor is added to the ink, it can inhibit the oxidation and polymerization of the ink and slow down the drying speed of the ink conjunctiva.
8 Desiccants Desiccants are divided into white drying oil and red drying oil. Red drying oil is a kind of purple-red slurry liquid, which is suitable to be added to dark ink. Its drying form is to dry the surface of the ink layer first, and the dosage is between 1%-2%. White drying oil, commonly known as mixed drying oil, has a comprehensive drying effect on the inside and outside of ink film.
3. Engraving printing ink.
At present, there are mainly three kinds of inks used in woodcut: offset printing ink, collotype printing ink and water-based printing ink.
(1) mimeographed inks There are many kinds of domestic offset printing inks currently on the market, which can be mainly divided into three categories:
A, offset printing resin ink: offset printing resin ink is mainly synthetic resin, which has the characteristics of good printability and low price;
B, offset printing bright ink: offset printing bright ink is a medium-grade ink made of synthetic resin, dry vegetable oil, high-boiling paraffin oil and high-quality pigment, and its ink standard is higher than offset printing resin ink;
C, offset printing bright and quick-drying four-color ink: it has the characteristics of good printability, fast drying, high gloss and bright color. One of the characteristics of offset printing ink is its high coloring power, good fluidity, good dryness, certain viscosity and even and delicate ink particles.
(2) Offset printing ink Offset printing ink is prepared for offset printing. Collotype printing, called collotype in English, was invented in about 1867 by photographer Helbert * * * Josef Albert * * in Munich, Germany, and became a mature plate-making printing method in the early 20th century. Colo printing ink belongs to grease type, which has high consistency, low viscosity, good ink transfer performance and excellent water resistance. Its drying efficiency is also very suitable for woodcut printing. Because of its fine particles, it is especially suitable for woodcut printing. Cologne ink is hard, so it is wrong to add ink blending oil immediately when blending ink. It needs to be rolled repeatedly on the ink mixing table until the ink becomes soft and evenly mixed.
(3) Water-based ink The biggest difference between water-based ink and solvent-based ink is that it uses water instead of organic solvent, which obviously reduces the discharge of harmful substances, can prevent air pollution, does not affect human health, is not easy to burn, has stable ink, bright colors, does not corrode plates, has strong water resistance and is fast to dry. The characteristic is that it can meet the ink absorption of paper printing and make the printed matter full of color. What's more, its solvent is water and ethanol, which has little pollution to the environment and is internationally recognized as an environmentally friendly green ink.
