In the case of "ordinary gastroscopy" , that’s what I did. It was really uncomfortable when I was doing it. My mouth was drooling, and I kept retching (you were not allowed to eat while doing this, and I couldn’t even vomit it out). My body was curled up and shaking, but I gritted my teeth. I can still persevere, it’s not painful, but it’s uncomfortable. It’s scary to think about having such a long tube to go in. Taking samples from the stomach is a bit annoying!
