In the past, there was a popular saying among the older generation, called "eating from the national treasury", which meant that wages were paid by the state and people ate from the public. This generally referred to occupations such as civil servants and teachers, and those who sold their physical strength as coolies. Workers correspond.

Because life is guaranteed to be stable, everyone is proud of whose family "eats from the national treasury."

In their eyes, the brain workers who "eat the state treasury" do things that use their brains and do not require hard work. If you are a manual worker, you can be forgiven for thinking so, because after all, you have no experience. However, if you are a mental worker, it is best not to think so.

Because this will cause intellectual workers to feel that what they are selling is knowledge, talent, and inspiration. As long as something looks like hard work or requires a lot of hard work, I will decisively stop and not do it. I think it is an insult to the brain.

The correct mentality is to tell yourself that everything is hard work.

1. Only when you regard yourself as a hard worker can you attribute the achievements you have achieved to your efforts rather than to your ability or inspiration, thereby avoiding excuses for laziness due to wrong attribution.

For example, many white-collar workers think that they can work in white-collar jobs because they are very smart. This can easily lead to attributing their so-called achievements to their intelligence rather than to the hard work of more than ten years of hard study.

Only by treating achievement as a result of hard work rather than ability can it be easier to maintain a state of hard work. Knowing that you have done well is due to hard work; knowing that you have not done well is due to hard work. Not trying hard enough.

2. Even if we really have inspiration or intelligence, we must believe that these are based on hard work. Because ability and inspiration are elusive, difficult to grasp, and full of uncertainty. If you focus your energy on this, you will lose more than you gain.

The wise approach is to be good at transforming uncertain things into certain and executable things. Because we can’t be inspired all the time, but we can work hard all the time.

In this way, no matter what you do, you only need to sell your own hard work, and you will not have excessive ideas, such as staring at the apples falling from the apple tree for inspiration.

3. Convert everything into hard work, so that we will not have too high expectations before we have to pay hard work that is difficult for ordinary people to do.

Because if you regard yourself as someone who does manual labor, you will do everything well at hand, and you will not have unrealistic ideas. You only know how to work hard bit by bit.

This will allow you to maintain a better mentality, allow you to sit on the bench with peace of mind, persist, and lay a certain foundation for subsequent achievement. If you can't do it, you can accept it with peace of mind.

For example, just like farmers farming, if you sow the seeds carefully and wait until sunrise and sunset, you will have a harvest; if you don't do this, the land will be left uncultivated, and there will naturally be no harvest in the autumn.
