Chuirui drinks clear dew, and the flow sounds sparse.

Cicada is far away from cicada because cicada is on a tall tree, not relying on autumn wind.

This is the work of Yu Shinan, a poet in the Tang Dynasty. It is a short poem with symbolic meaning, and it is also the earliest chant poem in Tang Dynasty. By describing the crisp cicada singing, the author expresses his noble sentiment of leading an honest and clean life. This poem, together with Luo's Political Prisoner Listening to Cicada and Li Shangyin's Cicada, has become the three wonders of "Chanting Cicada" poetry in the Tang Dynasty.
