Speaking of the take-off place, the three northern counties in Langfang, Hebei Province, sandwiched between Beijing and Tianjin, are an enclave between the famous provincial administrative regions in China. Are there enclaves in other provincial administrative regions of China? There must be. Let's start with the enclave in Anhui Province.

Anhui is an enclave in the province. The first thing to mention is Tongling City, which was once the smallest prefecture-level city in China. Tongling stands because of copper and prospers because of copper, and the first furnace of copper water in New China was also refined here. To develop copper industry and economy, a large number of copper ores are needed. The copper mines in Tongling City are far from enough, so we should look for copper mines elsewhere. There are copper mines in Anqing and Chizhou, which are just closest to Tongling, so for the convenience of copper mining in Tongling, the copper mines in these two places and their affiliated areas are allocated to Tongling. Of course, this is the product of the planned economy period. At that time, Tongling Nonferrous Metals Company was subordinate to the Ministry of Metallurgy, and the state monopolized nonferrous metals. The two Tongshan Copper Mines and Yueshan Copper Mines in Chizhou and Anqing are managed by Tongling Nonferrous Metals Company, and the villages near the two mines are also under the jurisdiction.

Tongling enclave in Anqing City is located near Dalongshan in Huaining County and belongs to the suburb of Tongling City administratively. Tongling city has an Anqing mining area office here, with three villages and more than 5000 people. Another enclave is located in Guichi District, Chizhou City, but it is close to Anqing District, across the Yangtze River. Tongshan Town is a township organization, which belongs to the suburb of Tongling City, but there are only three administrative villages, with an area of about 34.4 square kilometers and a population of about1.5000.

There is an enclave in Huaibei City, Anhui Province, which is surrounded by Suzhou City and Xuzhou City, Jiangsu Province. This enclave is called Duanyuan Town, with a total area of 43 square kilometers and a population of 73,000. Duanyuan Town is an enclave in Duji District of Huaibei City, which is not connected with the main body of Duji District. Duanyuan Town originally belonged to Xiaoxian County. In the 1960s, due to the exchange of land between Anhui and Jiangsu provinces, Xiaoxian was placed under the jurisdiction of Anhui. Later, because a coal mine was discovered in this place, Suixi City was established at 1960, and later renamed Huaibei City. Tongling City was also established for this reason. At the same time, in order to unify the mining and management of nearby coal mines, the area with underground coal mines near Xiaoxian County was included in Huaibei City, and Duanyuan Town was established. The former Yeji District of Lu 'an City, Anhui Province was separated from the urban area by Huoqiu County. Later, the administrative division was recently adjusted to connect with the urban area, and it was no longer an enclave.
