Too high a goal will make us lose our enthusiasm for learning, because it seems that we can't speak English as fluently as our mother tongue, so many people even dare not speak. Think about it, even if only a keyword pops up, the other party should be able to guess what you want to express. Therefore, communication is not that difficult. First, set the goal lower and step by step, so that English will not be so difficult.

2. Language is nothing more than listening, speaking, reading and writing. For those who want to teach themselves English, the main purpose is not to take exams. The key is listening and speaking. As long as they can understand what others are saying and express what they want to say, that's enough. There are not many tricks in listening and speaking. Repeat, repeat. How many English learning materials can there be in those years of the Anti-Japanese War? But didn't people who went abroad to study in those days also learn English quickly? Just one trick: there is only one English book at hand, so read that English book 100 times. A good English original already contains the most commonly used words and sentences, as well as the most commonly used expressions. As long as you can calm down and really read 100 times, you will be able to communicate in English.

Let's go back to setting the goal lower. For example, I found a good English book with audio. Step 1: Set the goal lower and read it again. Don't learn by rote from the beginning, read carefully and thoroughly understand these high goals. Again, if the goal is set high, it will only make people feel that I can't do it at all. Step two, listen and read it again. Step three, read it for the third time. You'll understand after reading a lot of things. Of course, you don't have to read 100 times, but the effect of reading a book 10 times is definitely better than reading it once.
