In this activity, I let my children feel the existence of air in many experiments, so that they are always in the process of excitement and active exploration.
At the beginning of the activity, I first showed the children a sealed plastic belt filled with air, so that they could touch and smell the contents in the plastic bag. Then I asked the children to take a deep breath with me and suck it through their noses, so that they could know that the bag was filled with air, and the air was colorless and tasteless, which was very important to us.
In the process of finding out where the air is, I asked the children to capture the air with bags, inflate the balloon with a small pump, and try to blow into the balloon to prevent it from landing. A series of activities let children fully feel the ubiquitous air.
During the activity, I personally tried the operation: after lighting the candle, I covered it with transparent glass and the flame gradually went out. Let children know that burning also needs air. Let the children hold their breath and try to feel without air; Then take a deep breath and feel the benefits of air.
Let children feel the importance of air by holding their breath. Through many experiments and exploration activities, children understand the ubiquity and importance of air. Finally, after children feel the importance of air, they should establish their awareness of environmental protection and let them talk about how to care for the environment.
In short, in the whole teaching activity, I feel that I talk too much, which leads to the activity not achieving good results. In the future teaching activities, I want to let children use their imagination, do more work, and strive to create a good learning atmosphere, so that every child can participate in learning, activities, discussions and speeches, which will increase their belief in learning science and satisfy their desire to explore.
