Self-built houses in rural areas depend on natural conditions and location. It is ok to build houses in rural and suburban areas. If you build a house far away from the town, I personally think it is good to buy a house in the city. The reason for this is the following：

Many rural areas have no running water, so they dig wells at home. The water quality test is unqualified and they dare not drink. If groundwater cannot be supplied in dry years, domestic water will become a problem. Electricity, although the rural power grid has been transformed, the lightning weather will trip automatically, ranging from tens of minutes to a whole day without electricity, which is uncomfortable. Highway, most places in rural areas are connected with cement roads, but most of the roadbed is only 3.5 meters, so it is very inconvenient to meet cars on holidays.

Although the air is fresh, the environment is poor. There are many animals in rural areas, and there is no special person to clean them, and feces and garbage are everywhere, which affects the rural environment.

It is inconvenient for children to go to school. Many schools in rural areas have merged, and most villages have no schools. Children have to go to a central school far from home. Although there is a school bus, it is inconvenient. The main reason is the limited number of school buses. How many times does a school bus have to shuttle students from several villages? Some students are sent to school at dawn, and some students have to go to class to pick up the school.

It is not convenient to go shopping to see a doctor. There are many left-behind children and empty nesters in rural areas, private cars are not popular, and it is inconvenient to go shopping for medical treatment.

I am a native of the countryside, this is my personal opinion, don't spray. I think: if economic conditions permit, it is better to buy a house in the city than in the countryside.
