What's the difference between a unified exam and a single move?

The National Unified Examination is the abbreviation of "National Unified Examination for Enrollment of Ordinary Colleges and Universities".

The unified examination subjects are Chinese, mathematics and foreign languages.

Candidates who participate in undergraduate admission must also choose three subjects from the six high school level grading examination subjects of ideology, politics, history, geography, physics, chemistry and biology according to the requirements of the institutions (majors) to be admitted and their own specialties. The total score of undergraduate candidates is composed of the scores of three unified examinations of Chinese, mathematics and foreign languages and the scores of three graded examinations of academic level (included in the total score of the college entrance examination according to the scores of the graded examinations of ordinary high schools of Beijing Municipal Education Commission).

Higher vocational (junior college) enrollment adopts the enrollment mode of "unified examination+qualified high school academic level examination". The results of the college entrance examination are composed of three unified examination subjects: Chinese, mathematics and foreign language. According to the training needs of each major, the enrollment colleges choose two subjects from the qualified high school level examination subjects, and the candidates' scores in the selected high school level examination subjects must be qualified.

Candidates who do not participate in undergraduate admission but only participate in higher vocational (junior college) admission may not enter the academic level level examination.

Ordinary high school graduates can only apply for the unified examination.

Single-examination and single-move is a trial in Beijing, which is mainly organized for graduates from technical secondary schools, vocational high schools and technical schools. Candidates mainly participate in junior college (vocational high school) level admission, and fresh graduates from technical secondary schools and vocational high schools can also participate in vocational education teacher classes (undergraduate level) admission.

The setting of examination subjects adopts the mode of "3+X".

"3" refers to Chinese, mathematics and foreign languages;

"X" refers to the specialized courses set and tested by the enrollment schools themselves.
