Master Yong's Opening Ceremony and Biography

In October of the 12th year of the Republic of China (1923), Dayong returned from Japan. He originally wanted to study in seclusion for several years. Unexpectedly, when I arrived in Shanghai, I was persuaded by Shanghai and Hangzhou laymen such as Jiang Weinong and Wu. First, an altar was set up in Shanghai to preach the Dharma, and then an altar was set up in Hangzhou to educate the people. As many as 100 people followed him to learn the seal spell. Political officials and celebrities turned to him for help. At this time, Buddhists in Wuhan also urged him to preach the Dharma in Wuhan, and bravely arrived in Wuhan in January of the 13th year of the Republic of China (1924).

Dayong arrived in Wuhan, and people in the Buddhist community welcomed him at a meeting. Then, he opened a Buddhist altar in Wuchang Buddhist College to preach Buddhism. In addition to * *, 237 people, including Li, Zhao Nanshan, Sun Ziping, Du Hansan, Yang Xuancheng, Huang, celebrities from three towns in Wuhan, and many eminent monks from Wuchang Buddhist College, were taught Buddhism. After Yong, Song Chi also returned to Wuhan. He is from Hubei and is more popular with believers than Dayong. After his return, he became the abbot of Baotong Temple in Hongshan, Wuchang, where he gave lectures, preached and enlightened. For a time, the atmosphere of learning secrets prevailed in three towns in Wuhan, and even those who originally supported Master Taixu to establish Buddhist colleges turned to support the esoteric teachings of Yong Zhisong, which greatly affected Master Taixu's reform of Wuchang Buddhist College, the fundamental Dojo of Buddhism.

Dayong left Wuhan for Beijing, where he was also welcomed by Buddhist laymen. He opened the altar to preach the Dharma and received many disciples. After preaching the Dharma, I originally wanted to go to Lushan Mountain for a retreat and practice verification. At this time, he heard that Bai Puren, a Lama living in Yonghe Palace, was good at hiding secrets, so he went to ask for advice, so he had the desire to go to Tibet to seek the Dharma. In the 13th year of the Republic of China (1924), in September, the Tibetan Language Institute was established in Beijing Ciyin Temple, and it was ready to study Tibetan law. The college has been funded by Wuhan celebrities such as Tang, Hu Ziyou, Shan Nugang and Liu Yaxiu. These people used to support Wuchang Buddhist College, but now they turn to support the esoteric religion of Dayong. Tibetan Language Institute was established. In addition to the students enrolled in the north, at the first graduation meeting of Wuchang Buddhist College, Fazun, Guankong, Ding Yan, Fafang and faculty were all admitted to Beijing. The college started on1October 1 1. Dayong invited Dorje Kyaw Ba, who was born in drepung monastery, Tibet, to be a tutor in the college. The venerable stayed in the college for two months, showing the monks the inheritance scale, learning methods, shallow practice and achievement process of the abbot of Tibetan Buddhism.
