After his return, he became the abbot of Baotong Temple in Hongshan, Wuchang, where he gave lectures, preached and enlightened. For a time, the atmosphere of learning secrets prevailed in three towns in Wuhan, and even those who originally supported Master Taixu to establish Buddhist colleges turned to support the esoteric teachings of Yong Zhisong, which greatly affected Master Taixu's reform of Wuchang Buddhist College, the fundamental Dojo of Buddhism.

Dayong left Wuhan for Beijing, where he was also welcomed by Buddhist laymen. He opened the altar to preach the Dharma and received many disciples. After preaching the Dharma, I originally wanted to go to Lushan Mountain for a retreat and practice verification. At this time, he heard that Bai Puren, a Lama living in Yonghe Palace, was good at hiding secrets, so he went to ask for advice, so he had the desire to go to Tibet to seek the Dharma. In the 13th year of the Republic of China (1924), in September, the Tibetan Language Institute was established in Beijing Ciyin Temple, and it was ready to study Tibetan law. The college has been funded by Wuhan celebrities such as Tang, Hu Ziyou, Shan Nugang and Liu Yaxiu. These people used to support Wuchang Buddhist College, but now they turn to support the esoteric religion of Dayong. Tibetan Language Institute was established. In addition to the students enrolled in the north, at the first graduation meeting of Wuchang Buddhist College, Fazun, Guankong, Ding Yan, Fafang and faculty were all admitted to Beijing. The college started on1October 1 1. Dayong invited Dorje Kyaw Ba, who was born in drepung monastery, Tibet, to be a tutor in the college. The venerable stayed in the college for two months, showing the monks the inheritance scale, learning methods, shallow practice and achievement process of the abbot of Tibetan Buddhism.
