The Temple of Lady Linshui

The Linshui Palace in Shunchang City was originally located at the intersection of Futun Creek and Jinxi River in the upper reaches of the Min River. It is the second of the thirty-six waterside palaces in history. It was built in the late Qing Dynasty and covers an area of ??more than 200 square meters. Square meters, there are the Notre Dame Hall, the Sleeping Hall, the Incense Pavilion, etc. The entire building is magnificent with its carved beams and painted pillars. The main hall of Linshui Palace is a three-story wooden building that enshrines three statues of "Mother and Sister", honored as "Mother of Suncheon". Due to the ups and downs of the sea, most of the old palace has disappeared. Only more than 20 square meters of the main hall are still dedicated to the tablets of the three ladies of Linshui.

In the prosperous times, Our Lady of Shuntian showed her majesty, and was taught by the Taoist Jin Luocheng and his disciple Wang Sanfeng (Mrs. Chen’s reincarnated mother-in-law and the Taoist nun from the Tianshi Mansion in Longhu Mountain, Jiangxi Province). In October 2006 AD, *** led the believers to rebuild the Linshui Palace at the foot of Fengshan, Houchengdong Village, No. 8, Housan Road, Shunchang County. The scenery here is pleasant, with mountains showing auspicious clouds and clear springs gurgling. The rebuilt Linshui Palace covers an area of ??more than 11,000 square meters and is a pure imitation of Qing-style architecture. This palace is one of the few traditional Taoist temples in northern Fujian. Linshui Palace now has the main hall Linshui Palace, which is dedicated to the Taoist gods such as the Three Pure Ones and Four Imperials, the Three Officials and Five Emperors, Doulao Yuanjun, and the three ladies of Linshui, the main deities of this palace; the left hall is dedicated to Taoist Cihang, Madam Wei, and other Taoist gods. God; the right side is dedicated to Taiyi Zhenren, Chenghuang and other gods. Next to the main hall is the Wenchang Pavilion, which is dedicated to Emperor Wenchang, Kuixing, the Holy Master and other Taoist gods in charge of examinations. To the left of the mountain gate is the Tianshi Hall, which is dedicated to the four great Celestial Masters. The couplet on the Tianshi Hall gate reads: "The disciples of the Celestial Master can pass on salvation, and the Great Dao can be preached in the Linshui Palace." On the right is Yiyuan. There is a fountain pool in the garden. In the center of the pool, there is a 3-meter-high stone statue of Chen Jinggu standing. The statue wears a miter on its head, holds a dragon horn in one hand, a sword in the other, and a colorful skirt on its body. It is very majestic. Next to Yiyuan, built on the mountain, there are the Dragon King Hall, which is dedicated to the Dragon King and other water gods, the Huang Liao Er Immortal Hall, the Qitian Temple, the Three Emperors Hall, and the Sun Palace, which is dedicated to the Sun and Moon Emperor, Yuelao, the Three Stars of Fortune, Luxu, and Longevity, Pangu and other gods. Traditional Taoist buildings imitating the Qing style, such as the Moon Pavilion, the Fulu Gallery dedicated to the gods of civil and military wealth, the Mountain God, and the Earth Temple. There is a Taoist dormitory next to the palace, named "Juxian Tower", with a couplet on the door: "A person can correct the Tao, and his body can become a god." There is a dining hall on the first floor, with exquisite paintings of "Eight Immortals" and "Chen Jinggu's Exorcism of Demons" on the wall. The second floor is the reception room; the third floor is the Taoist dormitory.
