Brief introduction of Heruo Railway

Around the southern margin of Tarim Basin, there are 382,835 square kilometers in two states, seven counties and cities, with a population of nearly 7 1 10,000. Ruoqiang County is an important node of people flow, logistics and capital flow on the third passage out of Xinjiang, and its location advantage is extremely obvious. The prospect of mineral resources development is exciting, but the contradiction between insufficient transportation capacity and single transportation mode is more prominent. From the perspective of development, the construction of peace railway plays an extremely important role in improving local traffic conditions and promoting local economic development. Heruo Railway is the main railway trunk line in southern Xinjiang. Along the southern route of the ancient Silk Road and the southern edge of the Taklimakan Desert, the geological, geomorphological and climatic conditions along the route are very complicated, with a high temperature Gobi of 45℃ and a big wind outlet blowing all the year round.

There are mountains and basins in this area, and the terrain is diverse. There are Tarim Basin and northern East Tianshan Mountains in the north, and Kunlun Mountain-Altun Mountain in the southeast and south. Altun Mountain is magnificent and steep, and Kunlun Mountain is a part of Qinghai-Tibet Plateau.

It is cold in winter, hot and rainy in summer, with big sandstorm and large daily temperature difference, which belongs to a typical temperate arid and semi-arid climate zone in Chinese mainland. Wako Railway is connected to Kahe Railway in the west, Harrow Railway in the east, and Ruoqiang Station is connected to Kuge Railway (the northern end of Chengku Railway) as the hub. Take Qiemo as the hub to build a branch line (Qiemo-Tazhong) energy railway, and Hotan as the hub to create conditions for the North Iraq-Arab Railway to connect with the western part of northern Xinjiang!
