The Buddha is merciful to all beings, and we can't repay the kindness of the Buddha in pieces. In addition to respecting and praising the Buddha, we should also provide for him.

Extensive cultivation and support is not only to support the Buddha, but also to support those who are beneficial to us and those who are not. We should support them all. For example, our parents, relatives and friends, all those who have helped us, we should repay them with gratitude. In Buddhism, there are three kinds of blessings: one is gratitude. It means that we should repay those who are kind to us. Have a grateful heart to repay their kindness. The Buddhist scripture says, "A person who can honor his parents has the greatest merit.". If the Buddha had not been born, we would have gained the greatest merit by respecting and supporting our parents. Honoring adoptive parents and repaying their kindness are also cultivating our own Futian. Therefore, if a Buddhist student can't even honor, support and repay his parents' upbringing at home, then you are not a good Buddhist. The second is Jing Tian. All the objects we respect, such as teachers, teachers, good knowledge, buddhas and bodhisattvas, are areas we worship and we have to provide for them. The third is Sada. Mourning field refers to the objects we should be merciful to: for example, the poor and beggars, who are short of clothes and food, have a hard life and need help. As Buddhists, we should sympathize with him and help him with a compassionate heart. On the surface, we are helping others, in fact, we are helping ourselves to grow good news, so as long as we meet people in trouble, we should actively help others.
Buddhism calls Fu Pei agriculture. Farming is like farmers sowing in spring and harvesting in autumn. If you don't sow in spring, you will get nothing in autumn. Where does a person's blessing come from? Didn't fall from the sky. Some people's life, nothing good will happen to them. So he complained that God has no eyes, and misfortune always falls on him. In fact, whether a person's luck is good or not does not depend on God, but is related to your blessings. The blessings come from Xiufutian, Guangzhi Entian, Jingtian and Sad Tian. Only by giving and supporting can there be blessings. Extensive practice and support, on the surface, although the scripture only talks about supporting the buddhas, from the content of the scripture, it actually includes supporting all sentient beings.
"All Buddhist temples in Buddhism, vanity, ten Fang III, dust, there are dust buddhas in the world. 1 1 Buddhist temple, all kinds of bodhisattvas, around the sea. " The content here has been said before. In all Buddhist temples, there are dust of counting buddhas. It means boundless buddhas, and there are many bodhisattvas around each Buddha. This tells us that the object of our support is all the Buddhas in the Third World. The meaning of support? First of all, it expresses respect for buddhas and bodhisattvas. The second is to repair Futian and increase the blessings. The third is to eliminate our greed, that is, meanness and meanness. Give to Buddha, take out your best things and overcome meanness. If you don't support, give your heart, and don't want to take things out, the future results will be very poor. Giving and supporting is the best way to save money, and the "interest" will be high in the future. Therefore, a person's wealth can not be obtained by making money hard. It depends on luck, which is usually called luck.
Support and dedication can not only cultivate blessings, but also overcome one's greed and persistence. If a person is obsessed with property, he is unwilling to give his things to others, just as you have never deposited a penny in the bank. Although there is a lot of money in the bank, someone can withdraw100000, 200000, but you can't withdraw a penny. Therefore, while giving and supporting others, you are actually saving money for yourself.
Because of greed, it is impossible to practice and give alms widely. In real life, we often give away things we don't like. The clothes you gave away are out of date. For example, when you give someone electrical appliances, you always look at what you don't need at home and give them away with the old ones. You won't give away the big color TV you just bought. Why can't we bear to give the most expensive things to others? The reason is greed. Because we are obsessed with beautiful things. If you don't covet these best things, you can give what you like to those who need your help. Then, it is also breaking our selfishness, greed, persistence and troubles.
We cling to something, which is often the root of our troubles. Persistence is the biggest obstacle to our liberation from life and death! There is a story in Buddhism: once upon a time, there was a Zen master with a high spiritual level. He is not greedy for anything. The only thing that makes him greedy is a bowl. Because this bowl was given to him by the emperor. One day, his life was coming to an end, and the terrorists sent two kids to take him away. Zen master's kung fu is very high. As soon as he sat there, he went into a state of meditation. The two children looked everywhere, but they couldn't find him. They looked everywhere, but no one saw them. I can't find it. What should I do? I can't do my work when I go back, which is very distressing. Then they went to consult the protector and landlord of the temple. Where is the Zen master hiding? We can't find him anywhere. Later, the dharma protector told them that this Zen master has a high level of practice and it is difficult for you to find him. However, there is a way for you to meet him. Zen master has a bowl, which is his favorite thing. Go knock on his bowl. He will definitely come out when he hears a knock at the door. Try it if you don't believe me.
When the Zen master meditates, ghosts and gods can't find him. The ghost turned into a mouse and jumped into the Zen master's bowl. The bowl made a noise. The Zen master immediately came out of meditation. He is afraid that the bowl will break! At this moment, the ghost immediately jumped up and put a chain around his neck. Excuse me, please come with us. Zen master realized what the bowl had done to him. At this critical moment, the Zen master used his quick wits and broke the bowl! Then he went into meditation again, and the ghost could never find him again. The bowl is gone, but my life is saved!
Xiang Deng Huaguo Yang Gong
"I am convinced that Pu Xian's wish will help me, and I know what I saw before I solved it." . Being persuaded is being persuaded. Now I know that there are so many buddhas, just like in front of myself. Our practice methods mainly rely on visualization. To enter the realm of Pu Xian, I believe there are infinite buddhas in the universe. Next, Bodhisattva Samantabhadra tells us how to support the buddhas: "I know all the wonderful support tools above". Facing the Ten Buddhas, I will feed them with the best things. The so-called best, of course, does not mean that you have to take out gold and silver treasures to donate Buddha, but that you donate Buddha with the best things within your limited economic ability.
"The so-called Huayun, Manyun and Leyun" refers to flowers, and flowers are used for offering Buddha. Clouds have many meanings, and many flowers are used to worship Buddha. Vines are flower vines. String flowers one by one, make garlands, and give them to the Buddha one by one. This is called rattan cloud. Tianleyun worships Buddha with music. As we sang "Praise of Deer Lane", this is music for offering sacrifices to Buddha. If anyone sitting here is learning to play the piano, or an electronic organ or something, you can go to the Buddhist temple to perform for the Buddha. For example, you just learned a new song, and you think it sounds good. You sing it best. First of all, you have to support the Buddha, which is also support.
"The sky umbrella blocks the clouds". In the past, when the king went out, he had an umbrella cover on his head, which was used to worship the Buddha. "Tianyiyun" means to give the Buddha the best clothes. For example, if you just bought a high fashion, it is ok to give it to the Buddha before wearing it. The meaning of offering sacrifices is mainly to express your piety, but whether the Buddha can wear it or not is another matter. The fruit has just been bought home. It is important to choose the biggest and best one and give it to the Buddha first, which means that you have always had a heart donation. "All kinds of incense in the sky" means all kinds of incense. For example, the fragrance at the end and the fragrance on the body are all kinds of fragrances applied to the body. Buy it back, give it to the Buddha first, and then wipe it yourself. Burning incense means burning incense for Buddha. At the end of the incense, it is sandalwood now. "If you wait for the clouds, you can measure them one by one, such as King Sumi Mountain." Mount Xumi is the highest mountain in Buddhism. These offerings of flowers, fruits, clothes, music, etc. What I offer now is as big as Mount Sumi, but they are not real, mainly through visualization. Here, Samantabhadra teaches us to support the Buddha through visualization.
"Burning all kinds of lamps" refers to burning all kinds of lamps, such as butter lamps, which use these oils to light lamps. "Incense oil lamp" is to light a lamp with sesame oil. "One lamp after another, the lights are like Mount Sumeru". The wick of each lamp is as big as Mount Sumi. Light oil is like sea water. There is as much oil in each oil lamp as there is water in the sea. How long do you think this lamp will last? Then this oil lamp will never go out. Your time of offering Buddha is the same as this oil lamp, forever. Think about it, how big is your merit in offering Buddha? Therefore, since we have studied Pu Xian's wishes, we should expand our mind and imagination, so that our ideological realm can contain the whole world and the whole universe! We learn Buddhism in order to broaden our minds and demand ourselves with the Buddha's mind. Only in this way can we approach the Buddha. If your mind stays at the original level, then you will always be a sentient being.
Of all the sacrifices, the French offered the most.
"Waiting for support is often a kind of support." It says, clothes, flowers, music, food, incense, all kinds of oil lamps, so many things support the ten Buddhas and Bodhisattvas, and all sentient beings in the world. It seems that this merit is of course great. But Bodhisattva Samantabhadra then told us: "Good people! Among all the supports, legal support is the strongest. " It means good people! Don't think that using so many good things to support Buddha is the best support for Buddha. Don't! The best way to support Buddhism is to respect and pursue Buddhism, not things. In other words, "obeying teaching" or "practicing according to law" is the best support for Buddha.
For example, what are the requirements of parents for their children? How can children be filial to their parents? For example, your daughter only knows how to buy you delicious food and clothes all day. But I'm with some no three no four people. She won't listen to anything you say. Things that have caused you a lot of trouble outside, people come to you every three days and give you trouble. On the contrary, your other son, although he didn't buy you delicious food, listened to you very much. He didn't get into trouble outside, and everyone who came to the door praised him and said that he had a bright future. Excuse me. Do you love your daughter? Still like your son? I must like my son. I can't be wrong. If you like your daughter, you are not a good parent.
Then, all buddhas and bodhisattvas have the same feelings for all beings. Some people only know how to offer or worship Buddha, but they don't care about Buddhism at all. If they get a conversion certificate, they will forget it and think they are Buddhas. I don't care about the truth of Buddhism at all. I still live according to my original ideas and habits. When something goes wrong, blame the Buddha. Such people, even if they offer sacrifices to Buddhas and Bodhisattvas every day, no matter how they offer them, they will be given in vain. They will always be laymen of Buddhism. In other words, as a Buddhist student, "practicing according to law and obeying teaching" is the best support for the Buddha.
Method, in our practice, its position is very important! The objects of our faith are the three treasures of Buddhism and Buddhism. Some people can't correctly understand and handle these three relationships: some people believe in Buddhism, but don't believe in Buddhism, and think that Buddhism has nothing to study, and monks are even more rare. Some monks are not much different from us, nor much better than me. He is most interested in Buddhism, and he has incomparable worship and belief in Buddhism. But if you don't have a correct understanding of the law; Can you learn Buddhism well? Obviously, it is impossible, because just like the Confucian classics we are circulating now, there are many true classics, but there are also false ones. What is apocrypha? That is to say, this sutra is false, not what the Buddha said. Apocrypha is a classic compiled by some heretics or ghosts in the name of Buddha. Such a classic is apocrypha. If you don't have a correct understanding of Buddhism, the truth has not yet been established. In the face of these apocrypha, you believe them, you follow them, and you go astray.
There is another kind of people who are not interested in Buddhism but interested in monks. After worshipping a master, I feel that master is everything. He thought that as long as he listened to, respected and provided for Master, he could escape life and death. There will be two situations: if the master you worship has correct knowledge and good knowledge, you will be relieved and benefit from Buddhism when you get close to him; What if the master you worship is evil knowledge? The master knows what Jaken said. No matter what he says or what you do, you are finished! You fell into the abyss and you didn't know it.
So the monks in Buddhism are a whole. Among the three treasures of Buddhism, the most critical and core issue is Buddhism, not Buddhism or monks. Why? Because the key factor for the Buddha to escape from life and death and become a Buddha is that he can prove the truth of Dharma before becoming a Buddha. Therefore, Buddha takes Buddhism as the core! Buddhism is the highest truth that the Buddha proves the life of the universe. Our achievements in spiritual practice are also based on our understanding of Buddhism. We should get rid of our troubles and life and death. Without law, we can't practice. Only by practicing according to law can we get rid of it. So the position of law in Buddhism is very important! We can practice according to law, and this is a good disciple of Buddha.
Practicing according to law is the support of law.
"The so-called practice support, benefit all sentient beings support, be supported by all sentient beings, suffer from all sentient beings support, diligently cultivate good roots support, do not give up bodhisattva industry support, and do not leave bodhicitta support." For example, spiritual support can be summarized as the latter six kinds of support. For example, practice: that is, practice according to various methods mentioned by the Buddha, and get rid of it through long-term practice until you become a Buddha. This kind of support naturally includes the other six kinds of support. It is worth noting that among the seven kinds of support, three mentioned "sentient beings", while the other four did not directly mention sentient beings, but they also contained the elements of caring for all beings. Buddhists should know that the so-called liberation into Buddha is not only for themselves, but also for all suffering beings. Therefore, when practicing these seven methods of support, never forget all sentient beings, and always put all sentient beings first. This is the duty of Buddhists. Here are seven kinds of support to explain to you.
(1) For example, practice and support: that is, practice according to the teachings of the Buddha, that is, practice according to law.
(2) benefit all sentient beings: do everything that is beneficial to all sentient beings. Take the initiative to help others when they are in trouble. Save him from suffering and make him happy. On the surface, what you do has nothing to do with Buddhism. In fact, you are also supporting the buddhas. Because buddhas and bodhisattvas are born for the benefit of all sentient beings, you can benefit all sentient beings, which is naturally the best support for all buddhas.
(3) being supported by all beings: there are many people in society. If you talk to them about Buddhism, they may not accept it. Then you must accept them first. There are four methods in Buddhism: first, giving; second, loving language; third, benefiting behavior; and fourth, being a colleague. If I see someone in trouble and need financial and material help, I will give him such help. This is charity. The language of love is to help others with real language or altruistic language on the basis of love. Beneficial behavior means that everything you do is beneficial to others, and there is no behavior that will hurt others. Colleagues can put themselves in others' shoes. If you can really follow the four-shot method, if the other person is not moved by you, then he is simply a piece of wood. If you want to have more friends and make them treat you well, you have to take the four-shot method. After you fix it, others will be nice to you. Because even a hard-hearted person will be influenced by you. Taking care of all sentient beings means taking care of all sentient beings and benefiting all sentient beings in four ways.
(4) Suffering for all sentient beings: We should have the spirit of empathy and treat all sentient beings and ourselves as one. The difficulty of all beings is my difficulty; The pain of all beings is my pain. For example, someone is in urgent need of money for surgery, and 200 yuan is needed to be admitted to the hospital. Seeing that the patient is dying, we should take the initiative to help him without hesitation, take out the money and let him stay in the hospital first. If he needs a blood transfusion, someone else's blood type doesn't match his, just as the patient's blood type is the same as yours; At this time, the patient's life and death is his own life and death. In order to save the patient's life, you should give him your own blood immediately. His illness is my illness. When he is well, you should feel happy and happy for his recovery. This is to support all beings. There are many such examples, and there are also many phenomena that all beings suffer, so I won't talk about them here.
(5) diligent cultivation of good roots: learning Buddhism and practicing should be diligent cultivation of good roots. In other words, all good people should pursue it, and there are many contents of good, such as three times, cultivation, six degrees, giving, keeping precepts, enduring humiliation, diligence, meditation, wisdom, four photos, worshipping Buddha, worshiping Buddha, repentance and liberation. These are the contents of diligent cultivation of good roots. The cultivation of good roots is not done today, it will be done in a few days, but it will always be done.
(6) Don't give up the bodhisattva industry to support: to learn Buddhism, you must first develop bodhicitta and follow the Bodhisattva Road. You can't give up halfway in your study. If you don't give up, you don't give up. After bodhicitta, don't give up and leave the practice of Bodhisattva. Bodhisattva is a kind of conscious awareness of the hearts of others. Learning from Sakyamuni Buddha is "conscious", and the spirit and behavior of learning Buddha is "conscious". In the process of practicing Bodhisattva, we can promote Buddhism conveniently and skillfully according to the different foundations of all sentient beings, so that we and all people can get happiness from suffering.
Bodhisattva's practice is also supported by law. The problem of great merit in dharma and stone is clearly stated in the Diamond Sutra. Raise your hand if you have seen the Diamond Sutra. I think there are many, but not many. It is often said in the Diamond Sutra that you use a lot of seven treasures to give, but it is far from reading the Diamond Sutra or being able to explain the merits and demerits of the Diamond Sutra to others. Why is this? Because compared with the method of giving, the role of giving is very limited. Just like someone who is in trouble and needs financial help, if I give him 100 yuan, 1000 yuan, 1 10,000 yuan, they will all use it up. This is one aspect. On the other hand, it is not necessarily a good thing for me to give him property. Sometimes he is happy without money, but unhappy with more money. For example, many couples in society have a good relationship and live happily when they have no money. With the development of economy, after the reform and opening up, family income increased, resulting in family disharmony. The man is having an affair, or the woman is having an affair. It turned out to be a happy family, but because of the more money, it was as noisy as a bee. Therefore, having money may not necessarily lead to happiness. Money is only a part of happiness, not the whole thing. It's not everything in life.
So in Buddhism, it is better to give money to support greatness than to give money to support greatness. Fabushi, just like I teach you a way to make a living, is much more beneficial than giving you ten or twenty dollars directly. Because, I teach you how to make a living. After you learn this craft, you can get inexhaustible money from it. If I can give you a road to happiness, teach you Buddhism, keep you away from sadness, trouble and pain, and make your life happy; Live a full, happy and comfortable life. It can be seen that it is not money but Buddhism that makes people feel inexhaustible all their lives. Therefore, the benefits of support are much greater than financial support.
The fifth floor (7) can't be separated from bodhicitta: bodhicitta is to seek Buddha's way and turn the hearts of all beings down. People who study Buddhism should have great compassion, and bodhicitta can only be born of great compassion. After initiation, we can't leave our initiation for a moment, and let bodhicitta daily growing until we achieve supreme bodhicitta and complete our merits. "Persuade bodhicitta", the master of the provincial nunnery, said: "Forgetting bodhicitta and practicing Buddhism is a famous magic industry", which probably explains this truth.
"A good man, if he supports countless merits before, is less than one percent, less than one thousand points, less than one hundred thousand points. Then he points, Gallo points, counts points, metaphorically speaking, excellent Bonishatto points, none of which is as good as one. " Names such as Juyi, Nayuta, Gallo, Arithmetic, Counting, Metaphor, Uboni Sato, etc. are too numerous to mention. Here are some metaphors that are difficult to explain. Bodhisattva samantabhadra said to the audience of the Dharma Association: Good people! We should know that all kinds of property support, such as the size of Mount Sumi, can be said to be endless, and it should be said that we can get infinite merits; But compared with the merits and demerits supported by law, it is too far, too far. Just like the merit of offering infinite property to the Buddha, compared with the merit of supporting a thought by law, the merit of supporting with money is a few percent, but it is not as great as the merit of supporting a point by law. The above passage mainly tells us through some metaphors that the merits of economic support are great, and the merits of legal support cannot be compared by numbers.
Respect law and reason.
"Why, for example, to respect the law; If you say yes, you will become a Buddha. " Why is the merit of legal support greater than economic support? The reason is "set an example and respect the law". This tells us that because all Buddhas respect the law, we should respect the law even more. Buddhism occupies the highest position in Buddhism, and Buddhism is born from Buddhism. Because of the dharma, the Buddha experienced the dharma and obtained the dharma, so he became a Buddha. Where did the Buddha come from? Buddha came from practicing according to law. If we follow the path of Bodhisattva, people who study Buddhism can practice according to law and treat all beings according to law. This kind of support is the real support for the Tathagata. On the other hand, if you just give the Buddha something delicious, this kind of support will never be the best. The real support is the Buddha, not the thing. Buddha is not surprised by our delicious food. Then you say, I won't give the Buddha any more. No, repentance is still necessary. As I said just now, offering sacrifices can cultivate our blessings and overcome our greed, meanness and meanness. Sacrifice is also an aspect of practice.
"The vast majority of this is the best support. The empty world is exhausted, all beings are exhausted, all beings are exhausted, all beings are troubled, and my supply is exhausted; And the empty world, even endless troubles, my support is endless. Miss each other without interruption; Body, language and meaning are not tired. " The content of this paragraph is the same as before. Whether it is repairing wealth or practicing law, the real support is not a matter of one or two days. It is a long time and will be done in the future.
