In recent years, my country's environmental pollution has been particularly serious. Environmental protection has become a major issue that everyone pays attention to. Protecting the environment starts with me. As a small member of the city, we also need to fulfill this responsibility. People's living standards are gradually improving, but garbage pollution is increasing day by day. How to deal with garbage? Do not throw away abandoned batteries at will, because abandoned batteries contain toxic substances such as metallic mercury and cadmium, which can cause serious harm to humans; do not bury waste plastics in the land for disposal, because plastics take a very long time to dissolve, and It will also lead to reduced crop yields; do not discard waste plastics casually to avoid being eaten by animals, resulting in animal death and accidents. Therefore, recycling garbage can not only achieve resource recycling, but also protect the environment. Sorting and discarding garbage is just a simple thing, and it can also add love to our city.

Recyclable garbage mainly includes paper, metal, plastic, glass, etc. Through comprehensive treatment and recycling, pollution can be reduced and resources saved. Kitchen waste includes food waste such as leftovers, bones, roots and leaves, which can be composted on-site through biotechnology and can produce 0.3 tons of organic fertilizer per ton. Hazardous waste includes waste mercury-containing batteries, waste fluorescent lamps, waste mercury thermometers, expired medicines, etc. These wastes require special safe handling. Other waste includes bricks, ceramics, slag and other waste that is difficult to recycle in addition to the above categories of waste. Incineration or sanitary landfill can effectively reduce pollution to groundwater, surface water, soil and air.

Food waste accounts for about 1/3 of total life. Food waste and other organic waste are scattered, large in volume, difficult to process, and easily pollute the environment. Centralized treatment of them, such as composting, not only reduces waste pollution, but also separates it from other waste components, speeding up waste classification. It is conducive to the comprehensive treatment of municipal solid waste.

So. I think that garbage should be thrown away where the garbage itself is, and used batteries should be handed over to the appropriate personnel.
